And no, I'm not comparing McClellan to Sadam, just illustrating a point. I personally am not going to put these kind of circumstances on anyone even if they deserve it, but the fact that it happened doesn't mean I'm going to empathize with them. Especially if they were a shitty human being in the first place. The fact that people loved watching his knockouts is irrelevant.

i own a dog and consider myself very fond of all animals but i know the world for what it is and its a very dark place and dog fighting is not dark enough to warrent his fate.

 

G-Man killed a few dogs, not any human beings. He was wrong. There was a rumor floating around the city of Detroit a few years ago that someone put a mickey in G-Mans squirt bottle, and that possibly caused the stroke....etc. Back to the subject, Hopkins wants to beat Roy because he can. There are quite a few boxers of the last generationt hat seem to be on the fast track to dementia, Hearns, Toney, Jones, Bowe, all are slurring words and sound like they have marbles in their mouths.

I don't know about Jones slurring his words... any recent interviews compared to old ones? He's never been very articulate as far as I'm concerned.

 

I don't blame Hopkins really. Yeah, in a perfect world, one of the best P4P fighters in the world takes on another tough challenge. But reality is, he's 45 and maybe he knows that he's lost something and will lose against the elite. The Jones fight offers him money, a bit of satisfaction and a good shot of winning. I mean how many fighters in the history of boxing were at the top of the sport at age 45? Hopkins gets some leeway here.

 

You can not be so dismissive G-man did some very cruel stuff with dogs that goes beyond just allowing two dogs to fight.
