Buncey says some dumb things sometimes.

Keeps defending Christine Arougou for missing 3 drug tests becuase she forgot. You dont forget something 3 bloody times.

And mayweather on the undercard of Pacquiao lol

She never forgot - she was there for one of them but late. She made contact every time but the testers are not flexible for one second.
Take a look at the chaos of any Pacman camp - remember Freddie pulling his hair out. Pacman would miss his three in rapid time!

    Adios.

Sounds like the excuses I used to make at school when bunking off because I hadn't done my homework. She and Manny Pacquiao are "profesional" athletes I do not think its to much to ask for them to be profesional with something as serious as a drug test.

The average person rightfully wonders why anyone would walk away from a $40 million pay day just because they don't want to take some random blood tests. That is what Pacquiao did.

You want to blame someone for killing the fight? Blame Pacquiao and his reps. Where else do you place the blame? You can scream that Mayweather didn't want the fight, but there wasn't anything to indicate that.

When Pacquiao and his reps included a potential deal breaking clause that would penalize Mayweather $10 million for every pound he was over the welterweight limit, he agreed to it. End of story. Mayweather was ready to sign the deal.

But Pacquiao became offended with Mayweather's clause that both fighters - and the important word here is "both" - agree to Olympic style drug testing, which included random urine and blood testing.

This was not a last minute clause that Mayweather came up with to try to scuttle the negotiations and get out of the fight. It was included in the initial proposal, as was Pacquiao's $10 million "fat" clause. But we didn't hear anything about this being a problem until Dec. 22 when word got out that the fight was in jeopardy. This is when the email is suposed to of been sent.

Since then Pacquiao has waffled on just why he didn't want to take random blood tests and has even sued Mayweather and his camp for defamation.

In the current climate where every athlete who performs super human feats is under suspicion of being on performance enhancing drugs, the request for Pacquiao to take random drug tests is not so far fetched.

To say that he has never tested positive for PEDs is not enough. Mosley has never tested positive for steroids in any of the urine tests that were administered by the Nevada boxing commissions. But he has admitted before a federal grand jury that he took steroids in the buil up to fights.

Also the rumours about Pacquiao using Human Growth Horemone have been around long before Mayweather Snr started shouting about it. If you had not heard it mentioned before Buncey I would be very suprised.

Professional athletes are the most scatterbrained breed of humans on the planet. They lead a crazy fantasy life where everything is arranged for them. They are not like normal people - they are all over the place with their patterns. Manny would have missed the tests - guaranteed, and then he would be under an even bigger microscope.
The HGH and PED tales surrounding boxers are long established - anybody with success at moving through weights is branded. Arum offers an alternative scenario on Manny's growth (he would, wouldn't he!). Manny had a bad diet and was poor - when he had a few quid he started to move through the weights. We have to remember that Manny was as tall as Hatton and had longer reach - how about this: Manny was a freak when he was below featherweight instead of Manny is a freak now?
    Just a thought.

    Adios.

I think Manny was pre-prime at the other weights and by almost fluke and natural attributes managed to beat top quality fighters.

He has hit his prime now. It's like Langford when he was beating the likes of Gans at lightweight but still managed to beat Wills at Heavy. It's not unprecedented.

there is no excuse for missing THREE drug tests. if you had missed two, you would know what the outcome would be and you would go out of your way to do it.

Manny has an entourage of 50 guys, one of them can be in control of keeping the drug testers informed of his where abouts. what else do they get paid for???

its not the weight gain thats a shock, its the fact he has got faster and punches harder than he has previously. he was going life and death with barerra, morales, marquez and others and now he is smashing through Hatton and Cotto who are beasts at those weights. Cotto saying he punches harder than Margarito with plaster on and Hatton getting knocked out like never before.

the fact that the rumours have been there for a long time for all boxers just shows how ridiclious it is that stricter drug testing is not in place.

Arum would offer an alternative. 14 days is more that reasonable and they said no.

also buncey you must no teddy atlas or at least know people who know him well. is he the sort of guy to just chat crap or beleive a source thats not 99% kosha?

Drug stuff is sexy at the moment, there is no denying that.
Fighting at a real weight and fighting at a dead weight make all the difference. Speed was not such a great factor when Pac was fighting the Mexicans. It was against Hatton and Cotto and De La Hoya - they were all hit before they had a chance to react/anticipate and that short amount of time is crucial - it's vital in all sports. If a fighter can move his head 1cm he can avoid a chilling knockout and to able to do that he needs to see the shot - Hatton, Cotto and De La Hoya were all hit without knowing why. Cotto had worked that out and came up with throwing five or six punches blind as soon as he was hit - he had no idea where Pac was, but he knew he was there somewhere! If knockouts/power had anything to do with muscles and strength then Louis Monaco would be the undefeated heavyweight champion of the planet. Equally, if taking PEDS/EPO/HGH guaranteed Pacman power then every boxer would be doing it!
Well, Christine did miss three tests and she was innocent so that kinda answers the 'no excuse for missing three tests' question. It can and it does happen, trust me.
    Adios.

I don't think Pacquiao was ever dead at a weight beyond his Super Bantam days.

What proof is there that Christine is innocent??

I agree not dodging a punch correctly because its so fast is a major part of being KO but kncokout power does have something to do with muscle and strentgh. it is not the only thing but it can help you generate more power. the biggest punchers in the world at the moment P4P - Haye, Gamboa, Abraham, Pacquiao, Valero are all ripped.

taking PEDS/EPO/HGH does not guarentee anything but it does allow you to grow faster and become stronger by training for longer and harder than natural.

End of the day Buncey he should just do the tests and shut people like me up. I would much debating with you about the outcome of the fight, how mayweather will deal with the speed, how pacquiao will get through the defence then arguing about why its not even happening.

you keep saying "the fight will happen dont worry" but boxing fans have long memories and you only have to look at Roy Jones vs Hopkins signing to fight on PPV this week to not be a genius to predict its either not going to happen or will do in 5 years when Pacquiao has fallen out with Roach and has 4 losses and a defeated Mayweather is screaming about how hes been robbed in the couple of losses he has suffered. I have never been so annoyed about one thing in boxing than the mess this fight not happening has caused. its just sad.

When was the last time the two best fighters in the sport met in there prime????????? this was the chance and i lay the blame on Pacquiao.

i couldnt care less about Pacquiao vs Clotty or Mayweather bs anyone but Mosley/Manny/Williams. I will watch but it wont get me excited and staying up until 6am. I was going to be in Vegas in march as well.
