Very impressive Carl keep up the good work. What Irish fighters do you see yourself facing first? Is that Paddy Barnes trainer you have in your corner?
get him on the next one... a couple of hacks at the press conference asked me what the act is with Prunty! future world champ was the response
HAHAHa the Prunty Hype train is out of control!:deal World Champion? dont know but I think he can pick up an irish title at some point.:deal hes been working his arse off in the gym taking beatings in the gym but hes got a long way to go!:deal One things for sure he never fails to entertain! and at the end of the day Pro boxing is the entertainment business!:deal 2009 should be a good year for Prunty!
Anyone see the news Katie Taylor was offered big bucks to go pro and approached by Britian to fight for them in 2012?? The Iaba should keep her sweet! she is our best chance for gold in 2012 and is the best sporting ambassador for Ireland out there
Very tidy performance. Johnny Nelson certainly has the horn for you anyway! Maybe we can get him to sign up to the fan club! Lovely hooks to the body and you threw every single one like you meant it. Very polished indeed. I was particularly impressed by the way you finished each round with a flourish. Very eye catching and it'll serve you well if you keep doing when you face better opposition. Might just sway close rounds one way or the other.
yeah it was in the star yesterday said she was offered 100,000 euros to go pro in america to fight one of the top feamale boxers , holm her name was also said britain offered her da to coach the womans team and he said he was coaching katie then they because katies da is from leeds katie would be eligable to fight for britain and he should bring her along but they refused it
Johnny nelson is my new favourite commentater been working on finishing the rounds well to catch the judges eyes what do u mean better opposition? That boy was a class act haha joking
the iaba are a joke i was at the intermediate c/ships before xmas and along with a few others left early couldn,t watch anymore long drawn out boring c/ships with woman boxing as well as the men i,ve no problem with woman boxing but they should have their own c/ships imo. now i hear their going to have woman and novice boxing involved in the national SENIOR c/ships its an insult to our senior boxers imo. there was also roumers they (iaba) are trying to split katie from her coaching team her dad and pat ryan :nono
He had a hard head anyway. You caught him with more than a couple of hurtful uppercuts that you could see he felt but fair play to the boy he didn't buckle. Too often you see young prospects put in against lads who fold as soon as they get hit a couple of decent shots. I always thought those kind of fights were a total waste of time so it was good to see you got a tough lad put in front of you. Anything you particularly want to work on after that? I saw something myself but I wouldn't be half as cheeky as to say what it is :good
