1. Check out the Bowe-Golota fights or Bowe-Holy or Tyson-Holy or Golota-Sanders. 2. What competition?
Klitschkos dont sell? In the 4 years I have been with Wlad (9 fights) Wlad has fought 3 times in the states and all were sellouts within DAYS! I also work for Vitali and his fight in LA...sold out in DAYS They sell everywhere they go. To be honest...the money they can get in Europe BLOWS the US away. The US is not the only boxing Mecca in the world. The world is a big place they gets offers to fight everywhere from the US to Egypt and Dubai.... the Klitschkos are seen in over 100 countries when they fight. Global champions!!!!!!:happy:happy:happy
1) All smaller heavyweights compared to today's standards. 2) If you look at the amateur pedigrees, very good competition. Chambers, Povetkin, and Chagaev are very good fighters and capable of giving anyone a tough fight throughout the 90's. Also, upcoming heavyweights like Arreola, Boystov, Pianeta, and Solis are very tough and exciting fighters to watch out for. Like I said, don't buy into the herd mentality that the Heavyweights suck and you might be surprised.:good
They are HW champions so they sell :good The point is that now the heavyweight division isnt as exciting as it used to be. Now the biggest possible fights are in WW and SMW. Its not Klitschkos fault that they dont have great competition. The only big fight in HW that can be made is Klitschko vs Klitschko. There will be more excitement when somebody beats one brother, so he will probably fight next one and if he beats both he would be undisputted. The problem is that beating one Klitschko is very hard thing to do and beating 2 of them is just ****ing hard. Its why I root against Klitschkos (since few fights), althought I admit they have skills.
Arum claims Kelly has been made offers to fight in London and Dubai. I think he needs to take on Sturm in Dubai if the money is there. Broaden his horizons some.
1) Golata, Bowe, and Sanders are small compared to the 2 current champs...the champs are the standard, right? 2) Chambers, Povetkin, and Chagaev could give all three of your "large" heavyweights a run for their money in their primes. The biggest misconception about the heavyweight division is that this era is really bad compared to the 90s...the only thing missing from this era of the heavyweight division is the "aura" the Heavyweight division used to have. That larger than life feeling that the heavyweight division used to have has left us due to the negative depiction made by the American media. If America had a dominant Heavyweight champion, mainstream media would view the heavyweights today under a different scope and start representing it in a different light. That is my opinion...I have been lucky enough to view 4 decades of heavyweights and can honestly say, I've never seen anyone in any era who could dominate the Klitshcko Bros...embrace what you have in front of you.
OMG...you were actually entering T-Rex into the discussion? Dude, I think you just lost cred with that name...let me ask you this, honestly: Did you become a die-hard fan in the 90s? The only reason why I ask this question is that most, who feel the Heavies of the 90s were the greatest, started watching boxing in that era. Same can be said for the 70s and 80s. For some reason, a lot of boxing fans feel that the fighters in their era are the GOATs. Kind of like the way it is with music...strange?
Oh...sounds like you're upset that they can't be hit more frequently during their fights. Let me ask you this, who are your favorite fighters currently? There are a lot of very dominant fighters who can't be hit very often these days who don't receive the amount of criticism the Klitschkos get...I can't understand how one would think that a heavyweight KO isn't exciting...which happens almost always at the end of a Klitschko fight. Hate the game, bro...not the Klitschkos!!:good
T-Rex was mentioned for his size and for the bloodbath battle he had with Golota, a very exciting fight.
A one-sided fight is not exciting and neither is a KO when you know it's coming. Nevertheless, the Klits are at the top at this point in time.
I never said Lewis was smaller...and he dominated the so-called great era of heavyweights. Think about how the Klitschkos would fair in that era considering how much bigger they would be than almost all of their opponents. Bowe wanted nothing to do with a man the size of Lewis...in fact, he publicly denounced his title to avoid Lennox. He was a joke who made his name off of beating a former cruiserweight champion. When the competition started getting better, he packed it up and went on a permanent vacation. Besides I never said all three would beat the three fighters you mentioned, I just stated that they would all be tough fights.
