I am just speaking on the really weird relationship journalism seems to have with boxing. I don't think there is another professional topic followed with this much atrocious fact checking and vetting even by the parent organizations. I think that is why 90% of this stuff doesn't even appear on general sport sites. Boxing "news" is so infested with BS it is only allowed on boxing specific sites.

I don't think it will come to trial. I think they may let it get to the point where both sides need to show the direction they are going to go. THEN the email would come into play. I am no lawyer so I am talking from the sidelines. They could not produce the email in any other context, especially in boxing, without the other team just dismissing it. Present it in court? That gives it an air of legitimacy. By law, could they not just say "We were just asking."?

You are completely wrong about that. There are more than enough ways to prove it is legitimate, when it was sent, where it was sent from, and which computer sent it. You are a journalist not a computer person. Now the ONLY thing that can't be done is prove that the account that sent it wasn't being used by the owner. That is a reach especially if it is an email chain.

Why should he produce anything, Tommy ?

What other boxer has ever had to disprove slanderous allegations made without a shred of evidence ?

He was willing to take the fight under the same BOXING COMMISSION rules that every title fight used.

Why should he have to take any other tests than any of Floyd's other opponents took ?

Proven roid users like Toney and Mosley are not asked to take 'extra' tests,
so why should Pac, who has passed every test any boxing authority has conducted, be subject to additional tests dreamt up by Mayweather, who has never produced a shred of evidence of cheating on Pac's part ?

It's pretty clear here who doesn't want the fight.

Nothing you say makes sense because HE DID NOT JUST REFUSE! Had he done so we would not be here. Instead he agreed and then choked out.

Yeah they don't and they don't get fights against anyone of note.

There is no need to have evidence to test. If Pac is clean like he says he is? Then test and get that ass whipped. If he is dirty? Go on to fight guys who are controlled by your promoter and you know don't have any leverage in negotiations. Which road did Pac choose? :deal

No he didn't agree to Floyd's ridiculous demands.

    Link?

He has agreed to go further than any other boxer ever did with testing, just to make the fight.

My point is, he has, and still does, agree to let the boxing commission set the rules.

Just like every other title fight in history.

That was good enough for every other fighter in history but not good enough for Floyd.

It's the boxing authorities who set the rules, NOT FLOYD.

He's had a **** of a lot more spectacular fights in the last few years than Floyd. And that will continue.

Why the **** should he ?

On what grounds should Pac be treated differently than any other fighter ?

Is there a shred of evidence that he's ever cheated ?

Why should he take additional tests OVER AND ABOVE WHAT THE NEVADA SAC demands ?

Just because Floyd is scared ?

Get the **** outta here !

Stop double spacing your rants. Use sentences and paragraphs like a normal person.

If you don't remember all of the position changes of Team Pac then I am not going to remind you. You aren't a fan of boxing. They went from agreeing, to press conference, to 3 tests, to 30 days, and on and on... Just say no in the beginning and I could have accepted it.

Times change and technology and cheating improves. Blood tests are the best tests. Not saying that Pac has to do it, but if he wants the best fight he takes the test. He didn't want it. Urine testing was invented at some point. Fighters could have used the same BS argument you raise not to do it.

    Manny don't want it.

and the dumbest post on ESB award goes to....

First off who the **** cares if he agreed to testing that goes beyond any other testing in boxing?? Mark Mcguire agreed to testing that baseball players in the past did not have to take.. and guess what he still did steriods as he set the homerun record.

AND there was absolutely no shred of evidence that Mark Mcguire was using steriods at the time.. The point is athletes cheat, thats a fact, why not ensure beyond a reasonable doubt that your clean going into the ring. Floyd was willing to do, why not Manny?

Second Manny refused to agree to the most accurate drug test available today.. The testing he agreed to do was flawed, that is undeniable..

and Tihird "why should Pac be treated any differently?" BECAUSE HE IS DIFFERENT. He was about to enter the biggest fight in boxing him history.. that sets him aside from other boxers. Just like it sets Floyd Mayweather aside. The difference is Floyd was willing to prove that he was 100% clean in the most extensive test known to man. Manny wasn't.

Don't get it confused. Manny Pacquiao walked away from this fight.

I wonder why PBF wasn't satisfied that a test will also be included right after the fight?! PBF was afraid of PAC. We all know that ARUM wants the fight to happen coz he will make more money that PBF and PAC so there is a special interest in him to make the fight happen.

He'll be disappointed with manny if he thinks the problem is with manny. pbf CHANGING the rules of drug testing?! Since when was boxers allowed to do that?!

The testing Arum suggested was perfectly reasonable and WAAY more then the NSAC does. Floyd found a way out, and thankfully, that is becoming more accepted in the boxing circles as the days go by.

This fight was practically a done deal before Floyd decided to ask for Olympic style drug testing. The date was set, the venue was chosen, hell both fighters even agreed on financial terms.. that was the part I thought would hold up this fight but surprisingly they came to an early agreement. Everything was set for March 13 until Floyd cried steroids with no shred of proof.

I blame both fighters for the fight not happening, but the bulk of the blame DEFINITELY goes to Mayweather.

I'll post any ****in' way that suits me.

You were asked for a link to prove your assertion and you couldn't come up with one.

I was a boxing fan before your sorry ass was born.

    Complete horse****.

If drug testing were such an issue, Floyd could have brought it up at the outset. But he didn't.

After all other points were agreed, THEN Mayweather raised the drug issue.

He waited till everything else was agreed upon, and then found an issue he could use to chicken out.

As has already been pointed out to you, numerous times, it is up to the Nevada State Athletic Commission to determine what tests are justified and necessary.

That has ALWAYS been the way such matters are handled. So why would Pac agree to an out-of-the-blue demand by Floyd, one that he has never made of any other fighter ?

    On what basis ?

He did. He was ready to fight.

FLOYD didn't want it and he invented an excuse to get out of it.

It's FLOYD who is refusing the fight.

Manny is refusing a completely unjustified demand that he be singled out for special treatment that goes beyond what any other fighter has ever had.

Urine testing is used and Manny has always agreed to it, just like every other boxer.

The point is, he is willing to play by the rules.

    Floyd isn't.

It's pretty clear who's running here.

For the record, I have picked against Pac in each of his last three outings. And been proven wrong.

I have stated on other threads that while I don't like Maywether (on account of him being a weasely little ****), I agree that he is the best in the game at the minute.

I have said that I didn't think Manny could beat him, though I hoped he could.

This issue is not about either man's prowess in the ring.

It's about Floyd's chicken**** behaviour in the lead-up, and his fear of Manny.

He could probably have beaten Cotto and Marg too, but he didn't have the balls to take those fight either.

    And he still doesn't.

Its funny how the negotiation went smooth until floyd demanded the blood test. If their team was so concerned about this PEDs, surely that would be the first thing they would tackle and get it out of the way.

This "last minute" unrealistic demand trick is pretty common to save face if you want to avoid something. This is basic phycology...people do this kind of **** all the time.

You mean that same responsible commision who on Emmanuel Steward's request, petitioned them to test for Steroids in Hearns rematch with Leonard, and was outright refused?????

The same responsible commision who let it be known to Steward, "we will test for other drugs, but not steroids???"

......of course..:lol::lol:the NSAC surely does know when something is justified and when its not.......they sure do know how to protect athletes under their juristiction.:nut:nut:nut
