If Martinez can improve his conditioning he can win this, but at his age I cant see it. Great fight though, Pav should win by late KO

That's fine, but does not change the fact that KP had already started training for Williams when they priced PW out of the fight. Now Goosen, who officially okayed the Dec 5th 2009 date based on his own personal analysis of KP's medical records, denies the Dec 5th date was ever official. He claims PW never signed for the fight. As of right now Goosen says Williams will fight anybody from 147-160, but they won't fight Pavlik unless it's a 50/50 co-promotion. Sorry pal, but the champ dictates the terms, not the challenger. Like I said, PW is now officially in protective custody. You can read it for yourselves on Boxing Scene. I was enjoying reading these post until you had to mention this stupid sh*t!!!! I realize with some of you KP fans that no matter what KP does/did you will some how find a way to blame the next man!!!!:-( If you(Booradley) could figure a way to say that it wasn't Paul Williams at the press conference standing face to face with KP you would make some sh*t up like it was Paul Williams's twin brother Peter Williams who was there because PW was in the bathroom scared!!!! The bottom line is that Pavlik has a decent opponent infront of him but to tell you the truth I think Martinez was too small for PW and is too small for KP and KP should win this fight!!!
Should be a good fight and I hope martinez beats him down, he's certainly got the skill set and heart to make this a great fight
This is a bull**** fight, Williams should be fighting Pavlik not a guy who just lost his last fight, ****ing bull**** sport of boxing.
Sorry Pavlik fans, but this might just be the wrong guy for Kelly to face. Good fight and I think it could go either way. Like someone said earlier, low reward, high risk for Kelly. Arum must know something I dont know. I know his options at MW are somewhat imited but Martinez is going to be a big test to see where Kelly is right now. A loss to him will spriral his career down quickly. Good for Pavlik though for willing to take this fight! I am excited about it.
Pavlik is going to knock his ass out. The dude Martinez keeps his hands low and does not use his gloves to block punches. Kelly is going to hit him with something and he will not be able to take it.
I think Pavlik is going to have major problems with Martinez's speed and lateral movement. He needs to make sure that he doesn't follow Martinez or he is going to be outboxed and lose. Pavlik doesn't have the range of punch variety that Williams possesses and Martinez will become more elusive now that he is fighting a conventional fighter. It's a very good match up but i feel that Martinez will win the first five rounds before weathering Pavliks late pressure. I just hope that if it's close then Sergio gets the good end of the descision this time.
Where'd you get the 193 lbs from? lol and i thought i heard it was now Pirog vs Ishe Smith, not Macklin. Don't know how they justify that but
