long time, still remember sneaking an AM radio into my bedroom listening to rd by rd recap of Ali vs Frazier 1.Think I was 11 ,my old man hated Ali for dodging the draft.Probably the first big argument between me & him as we`d been watching fights together already for a few years. He heard the radio & came in & listened with me.Kinda cool.

It doesn't threaten anything, it's like every other sport, it has its bad days and good ones. Boxing is like a season, you get 2 months packed with major fights then 5 months of nothing but one or two big fights in between and the rest contenders rising on local TV. It's a sport and can be very random, it's not scripted for certain stuff to be booked already or guaranteed to happen.

around the time Barrera beat Hamed and Hopkins beat Tito.

I realised I was a total diehard fan when i was sitting at my desk on the edge of my seat listening to Hopkins vs Howard Eastman on BBC internet radio.
