OLYMPIC STYLE DRUG TESTING IN BOXING HAS NEVER BEEN ASKED FOR OR DEMANDED. And for sure as CONFIDENT as Floyd is in his ability...as he should be has never requested anyone undergo these kinds of tests in 40 pro fights.

PAC never turned down $40 Mill.....especailly if you say Floyd didn't turn it down. PAC just didn't give in to the demands Floyd wanted, but at the end of the day....the mediator and additional negotiations wouldn't have ever been necessary had Floyd not spread these rumors and demand the add'l testing.

The root of the problem in making this fight stemmed from Floyd. That is fact. Again....I'm not sure WHY he would spread these lies and rumors and then demand testing for this fight when Manny was suppose to be a cake walk and that he'd outclass Manny.

Do you ever wonder why the contract was revised in the first place??? It is unprecedented considering that the original contract was never submitted to NSAC in the first place.

When did they changed the contract???? The night prior to the weigh-in. The whole thing has sinister cloud all over it, with the way GBP forced JMM to sign the revised contract.

Was JMM obligated to sign the revised contrcat??? No

Why did he sign the revised contract??? I am sure not because he is going to be paid 300,000 dollars per pound above the stipulated weight.

Consider this : If JMM did not sign the revised contact,

    a. Mayweather has to pay the NSAC 10 per cent of his purse which is 1.5 million dollars, way bigger than what he paid JMM.

    b. JMM can walk away from the fight if Mayweather weighed more than 144.

So what did JMM really gained in signing the revised contract other than 600,000 dollars richer?

The bottomline is that GBP prostituted JMM for a multi-fight promotional rights to FMJ.

I said asking for "more extensive PED tests" has been done before despite what many of you are saying.

From the book "The Holyfield Way"

    Quote:

"There was a prior hint of this defeatist attitude a few weeks earlier when Marc Ratner, the executive director of the Nevada State Athletic Commission, called to tell me that Tyson would not fight Evander, unless he took a steroid test. This did not bother me at all, because I knew with certainty from many talks with Evander on this topic, that he had never used steroids. Evander told me some people urged him to use steroids, especially when moving up to the

division. Evander always refused for one reason: he would never have known whether he could have done it without the steroids. I wasn't worried about the test, and I knew a refusal would be taken as evidence of guilt. On the other hand, Tyson had no propable cause to request such a test and absolutely no right to require one as a condition for the fight going forward. I discussed this with Evander, who came up with a brillant solution. He said that he would take the test provided that the results would not be revealed to Tyson, until after the fight"

Holyfield-"I laughed when Tyson was demanding that I take a steroid test. I saw Tyson's look when he saw me with my shirt off at the weigh- in for the last fight. He couldn't believe how big and muscular I had become from how hard I trained. I knew he must have convinced himself that I had won the fight cheating somehow, because he couldn't face the fact that I was just stronger than him. I was happy to take a steroid test, because I have never used steroids in my life, but I didn't want Tyson to have comfort of knowing that I was not using steroids. I wanted Tyson to continue to think that I had an unfair advantage over him so he would give himself an excuse for losing again."

    Take the above from Evander's

for what its worth. I think we can kind of see both sides of the coin with these statements. I posted this so many can quit complaining about how it has NEVER been done before. But as we see, it HAS been and it happened in NEVADA..we can also seen both arguments in his book
So according to the PACQUIAO supporters arguments, I guess IRON MIKE TYSON was a coward and didnt want the fight.!!!!
BTW, Holyfield never tested positive for steroids prior to this fight.
Tyson was asking for a new precedent with the type of testing he was requesting, similar to what Floyd is asking of Manny. as ways to evade the testing evolve, so does the testing, it doesnt matter what kind of testing it was, as 1996 is not 2010

This is from another boxing forum and another poster.

I said Pac's balls were in your mouth because you weren't being truthful about the radio interview. You exaggerated the truth to fit your argument. Hence, you lied. That makes you a *******.

I on the other hand, am not spreading misinformation and lies. Just opinion and some facts. I do not lie and I do not "make stuff up" to make my argument seem more legit.

Again, when and where has Floyd Mayweather Jr. spread these lies and rumors?

    Link please?

There aren't any because the comments were made by other people, not Floyd Jr.

It was more testing than what was currently required by the commission for their fight.

Try and keep up. I know you're not formally educated so it will take a while for you to get the point since reading comprehension and grammar are obviously not your strong points.

Team Mayweather also stated that a private company besides the USADA would be allowed to administer the test as long as it was "random."

    talk about bending an argument.

You just tried to claim floyd never accused pacquiao of steroids while his dad is on record saying "i wouldn't let my son fight manny..." in reference to him "having roids in his system or not"

I knew this....agian....THIS WAS NOT OLYPMIC STYLE TESTING....this was a request from mike for Evander to take a Drug/blood test and the test were done by the NV STATE ATHELETIC OMMISION which PAC said he'd agree to if Floyd agreed to have them oversee the testing.

    victor879.

You're the least knowledgeable defender of floyd mayweather I have seen on this forum.

The other guys gave up a while ago, and you're still using the holyfield book and 10m$ penalty arguments.

You are way behind the curve. The only good argument for floyd is that Manny said no to a 14 day cut-off.
That is the only point you can say "manny didn't want this fight" on.
That's it. the rest of this garbage you're bringing up has already been smashed into the ground 200 times.
