Forget the fact that Haymon priced Williams out of a fight in 2008.

Forget the fact that Pavlik's left hand did not allow him to follow through with the October 3rd, 2009 date.

Forget the fact that Goosen now claims Paul Williams did not sign for the December 5th, 2009 date.

Pavlik stood in the middle of the ring on December 19th, 2009 and said, "Paul Williams you're not the most feared fighter in the world. You got a guy right here in Youngstown, Ohio that wants you."

Arum backed Kelly's play by publicly stating that he would gladly honor the terms of the October 3rd, 2009 contract.

This fight could be made today. All Dan Goosen has to do is send Arum a fax that says, "Paul Williams will accept the career high $1.2 million dollar pay day, and fight Kelly Pavlik on April 3rd, 2010."

It turns out that Pavlik/Martinez in not finalized. Fight Hype jumped the gun. Send the fax Dan, and Pavlik/Williams is a done deal.

Maybe all the Williams fans ought to send PW a tweet, and tell him to make the ****ing fight! Ya never know -- 3 tweets might just get the job done.

Even if what your saying is true there is nothing there to say that paul is the one ducking kelly...paul can go to 47 if he want and get a big fight their worth a lot more than 1.2 million...lmfao...that is a slap in the face when u could be fighting for a lot more than that...

Pavlik/Martinez is a very interesting fight. Pavlik/Williams would be a fan friendly affair for 2-3 rounds. After that it's just a sacrificial blood letting.

The point is it could happen April 3rd. Pavlik wants it. Arum wants it. HBO wants it. Team Williams is silent.

I don't mind Pavlik/Martnez, but I'd rather see Pavlik drive skeletor back into his own corner, where George Peterson can see EXACTLY what's happening to his fighter, and unleash hell.

And by the way, the reports on Pavlik/Martinez are wild. Fight Hype said it's done. A few other sources followed up with "it's not done." One hour ago Fan House reported that Arum said this afternoon that it's done.

I dont believe PW still makes 147.

i think it is a playing card and nothing more.

no mention of his skills or who he beats - he doesnt make 147 again

    Pure ignorance.

it's not your fault, though. Yo just aren't privy to facts. Paul ate like a horse in training camp for his last two middleweight fights. And he weighed in at a whopping 157. He makes 147 easily and comfortably.

But will any of the top welters fight him? They did not want PW before. Why would they want him after he scored wins over Winky and Martinez 2 divisions north? He still doesn't have a lot of drawing power, he is still promoted by Goosen, and he still has huge physical advantages at 147. Top welters can find bigger pay days against much less troublesome opponents.
