Pavlik/Williams could be made today if . . . .

How about turning to the camera and saying, Now Im going to fight some middleweights:rofl

 

I gave up on Pavlik vs Williams, it ain't happening anytime soon. Martinez is a better test for Pavlik anyway, so I'm hoping that gets made.

When you say comfortably - do you think he has given up campaigning at 147, i mean he never really made a long run at 147 he sorta floats up and down. is it going to effect him long term?

Don't believe the (Fight)Hype, Kelly Pavlik does not have a deal in place to fight Sergio Martinez in April.
At least not yet.
"We're discussing several fights," said Pavlik's co-manager, Cameron Dunkin, when asked about a report on the Web site FightHype that the fighters have agreed to terms for an April bout. "That's just one of them."
Added Top Rank spokesman, "That's the first I've heard of it."
Dunkin and Top Rank officials are planning to meet with HBO representatives next weekend in New York to discuss Pavlik's future, which could include an April fight. There are four finalists to fight Pavlik: Martinez, Anthony Mundine, WBA middleweight champion Felix Sturm and one other that hasn't been named yet.
Paul Williams, who was scheduled to fight Pavlik on Dec. 5, does not appear to be among the finalists. After agreeing to fight Pavlik for $1.2 million in December, Williams now wants to split the proceeds 50-50. Pavlik's handlers have refused. Williams earned a majority decision win over Martinez on Dec. 5.
"That's not happening," Dunkin said.

I would like to see Martinez beat Williams up again, but Williams does not want a rematch. Williams does not want to fight Pavlik for any amount of money.

kelly and paul will get paid more than any other fight. you cannot deny this. regardless of whether you think it will come off or what.

 

no one is hiding. make the fight. kelly is here and paul is here. if kelly will lose so easily and the mw crown is just there for paul to take then why hasnt the fight been made??

pavlik is at fault for pulling out b/c of his hand. sds...you are right.. but here and now my friend...what is to stop it from being made right now.

 

Why would he possibly want a career high pay day. That's just silly talk.
