Ever seen a fighter looking genuinely scared in the ring?

    Although I don't think he was "scared", I think Mayweather looked nervous against De La Hoya during the ringwalk. Up on the really big stage for the first time, in what turned out to be the richest prizefight ever.

    He looked different than in other fights.

    Well, that goes without saying. It doesn't make any of them impervious to fear, though. And Henry Akinwande 'fought' like he was terrified against Lewis.

    I cant figure out how that guy ever got into boxing. He genuinely looks frightened anytime he gets hit. :huh

    Hamed looked out of his element in the ringwalk against Barrera and convinced me he was nervous when he had problems with his usual rope-flip into the ring!

    Hatton, ODLH, Hamed even Duran have been mentioned at looking scared , this wasnt the look , it was more distracted as if they were not prepared and something had happend in camp . Also when they were in the ring even when losing they all fought hard . Mayweather may look scared , and to be honest he probably is , but he uses those nerves to his advantage , look at the stare down with hatton , he was very nervous . The fighters who have been truely scared are Bruno , Wladimir, Lacy, Dirrell , Allan green when he fought Miranda. And anybody that fought Tyson in the 80's!!

    Tyrell Biggs against Tyson.

    I swear i heard him say to the ref: 'I can't go on'.

    But with due respect he was fighting Tyson and had just gotten knocked down.

    He didn't look scared at all in the ring. He might have looked unsure but scared?, no way. Tyson was scared going in against Lewis, it was obvious in almost all of the interviews leading up to the fight all the way to the ring walk. Tyson appearing in the arena seemed to show that he's confident, that was the only time he looked confident when making public appearances while scheduled to fight Lewis.

    Now to answer the thread:

    Spinks against Tyson
    Golota against Tyson
    Golota against Lewis
    Ali against Holmes (Very sad but that was the first time Ali was scared going in for a fight as mentioned by his team and you can see that he looked unsure clearly)
    Liston against Ali (The rematch)
    Duran against Hearns

    There's too many to mention.
