    This is fair.

He was a dominant LWW champion in a fairly weak divsion, but couldn't really cut the mustard against the elite. People probably get pissed off because he talks so much **** about fighting for mythical P-4-P titles and so forth, when he is/was clearly not at the level of the sport's best. Plus there's the fact that not only did he get beat by Pac and PBF (many do), but that he was brutally KO'd in the process, not putting up as much of a fight as some of the more supposed run-of-the-mill challengers that these two met.

I'm sure it is at times and I'd be pretty stupid to think all Hatton fans have very little boxing knowledge, I just find excuses tiresome and it annoys me when his fans take these excuses as gospel.

tbh Hatton makes the same excuses as most fighters make when they lose. He just seems to kop a lot more flak for it.

I hear you loud & clear Scurla. However, its important to me that I keep it real here, & IMO team Hatton KO'd Ricky before he even stepped into the ring with that little moustache monster.

IMO Hatton wouldnt have beaten Pac no matter what shape he turned up in, but Ricky IMO is right to say that he could have done better on the night with the right prep. Thats all I am saying!

When your at the top people knock you down. If he was a domestic champion or euro level fighter people would turn a blind eye.
In a sport filled with corruption, drug cheats and paper belt holders the way people go on about Hatton overrating himself like it is the biggest crime against boxing is pathetic.

Hatton was a below average belt holder, nothing more than a David Diaz when you break it down. The rest was hype and a manufactured career. Look how the 2 men fared against Pac for example, Diaz was way more competitive and consider that Hatton was the one with the size advantage.

Who cares how fat he gets. If the boy wants to fight and its a live body il be watching. One day Ricky will get it. And then he'll walk away.

It amazes me that most of the people who despise Hatton seem to or seemed to hang off the salty nuts of Junior Witter.

Hattons two title losses came against Mayweather and Pac....no shame in this.

Witters came against Alexander and Bradley....no shame in this but they pale in comparison to the 2 men who beat Hatton.
