The same way Mundine over the years suddenly get guys that werent even ranked in the top 100 of the WBA but suddenly appear in the top 15 when he was allowed multiple voluntary defences of the WBA paper title. it's called a lining the WBA officials pockets with cash.

Wood can fight, as long he passes the medical, there is no way they can call this fight off, wood has beaten a for Aussie champ and kani and 2 other fighters in Oganov and Kariuki who have won multi regional titles over the last 5 years, In his last 3 fights

If you don't let Wood fight Mundine then why was he allowed to go in the contender??

Don't get me wrong, Wood's going to get outboxed and embarrassed but he won the contender and that was part of the deal.

I think Coogee's concern is the ranking of Wood, being top 15 all of a sudden.

I agree, if this current ranking is true. I don't think the 'contender' bull**** should have any effect on a fighters rankings, unless all bouts are subjected to a maximum 10 round distance.

Contender was bull**** in my opinion load of crap and in my opinion there was only one or two fighters in there that could actually "box", the rest would have virtually 0 chance if they were in america or even europe....Only Aussie Fighters that i respect as boxers are Danny Green and Michael Katsidis they are great fighters....IMO Kariz and Junior were the only boxers with potential in the contender house

It's just another Mundine fight against a shockingly mismatched opponent.

Mundine should pay him off cause this fight will be very lopsided.

In that case, Mundine owes a lot of other opponents money. :D

You dont respect Mundine as a boxer?

I can understand not respecting him as a person or his choice of opponents, but he is clearly talented. Maybe not the world beater he claims but certainly as good as 50% of the people you do respect...
