I would try for the triumph gloves. They are on sale right now and a favorite Japanese glove.

I got my Heatseekers for $39.99 so he should wait til the price goes back down

None the less, they are an excellent pair of gloves though

Depends what you are after. Light, flexible and powerful - Everlast. Good shape, a little more thickness yet powerful - Reyes. Protection - Grant and Winning.

I'd say get yourself a pair of Everlast 10-14oz depending on what you will need them for.

Since he has a hand problem he probably shouldn't go with grant or reyes.

Triumph United feels more like a winning glove, very soft. Pro Mex is more like your grant and Reyes. If you have a hand injury go with triumph.

they dont have any lace up ones in 16 oz at the moment,
im gonna be ordering in the next few days( getting stuff for my home gym, been set back a few months already so im not up for waiting til they have them in stock)

but anyway, pro mex still a good glove? ok for sparring?

Au contraire, Grant are good for protection. Very solid and big gloves.

Though I would suggest wrapping your hands properly, wearing smaller gloves and punching properly.

Looks like you are considered poor man versions of Reyes or Winning.

16oz is big. How much do you weigh? Unless you are a really big bloke I'd suggest 14oz.
