Because Goosen and Haymon probably feel scorned by what happend last October and December! It's still a business and when you make bad business decisions it can cost you time and money!!!

Boo and Kermit know this because they've been flooding the threads with all the "behind the scenes boxing mumbo-jumbo":-(

If it's still a business, what's going to make Paul more money? A fight with Pavlik in a potentially sold out Atlantic City or a fight in god knows where against Kermit Cintron?

It was a bit of a financial risk for Arum to say he would leave the offer on the table for a year. If Paul were to lose to a Kermit Cintron, his stock would plummet. CHEF says from personal experience that Cintron has a ton of talent but lacks heart. IF, big IF, he got to Williams early, he might find enough heart to pull out one big fight.

To tell you the truth PW has more options than Pavlik because he is willing to move around in weight to find fights thats why!!!

Pavlik has lost alot of his fan base(Mr. HU included) because of his low level competition and inactivity, so in this case Pavlik needs PW just as much! You can ask any Pavlik fan that!!!

I can list a ton of guys that the boxing public would love to see PW face! In Pavliks case everybody wants to see him fight a live opponent, I don't think he can do another Lockett, Rubio or Espino!!!

PW should never have been fighting at 160, really. It's within his rights to avoid the division now. And I can understand why he's annoyed about the whole cancellation saga, even if it wasn't KP's fault.

what options does he have at 147? what options does he have at 154? answer those questions objectively and you will see that he really doesnt have that many options.

dcantwell has a thread with a new article. They have tried to get Williams. They won't budge from the 50/50. In other words, they want none.

Now they are claiming Kelly will make $6/8 mill for the fight? :rofl NBA said it is a "rumor" but you know where he got that from. They are lining up their excuses for the faithful.

    $1.2 million?

That's a pathetic low-ball offer for a fight of this magnitude.

I wonder how much Pavlik is getting, cause this certainly isn't 50/50.

All Pavlik has to do is sign the dotted line on a down-the-middle-split and he can finally shut Williams up once and for all.

Is he? No, instead he wants to fight Mundine or Brian Rose.

What's wrong with Williams taking the career high pay day that is currently on the table? All he has to do is ask Top Rank and Team Pavlik to put some type of guarantee in an escrow account. If KP pulls out for any reason, the money in escrow goes to Goosen/Williams. That seems more than fair.

Goosen did not ask for what is fair. He demanded that the unified, linear champion of the world agree to a 50-50 co-promotion; not a 50-50 purse split; a 50-50 co-promotion.

Now set your fanaticism, and your rabid Pavlik hatred aside just long enough to ask yourself; "Why would Goosen ask for something he knows for sure Arum will ever agree to?"

It is a career high pay day for Williams. How is that a low ball offer? You seem to have an agenda. Is Pavlik the champ? Lineal? Two belts? Please.

Pavlik beens fighting bums doing nothing. ockett, Rubio, Espino ring a bell??

Pavlik pulled two stunts on Wiliams team In October and Decembe. If Pav fights Martnez he gets schooled easily.

Stunts? Ya - two surgeries, 4 days in the hospital, and a career threatening staph infection. Now THAT is a helluva stunt.
