Yeah so career threatning that he was able to ight Epino with no problems.

Pavlik knows what hes in for with Williams and thats a beating homie. The speed difference, the workrate too much for Pavlik.

Im not buying his bull**** excuses...Man up and fight.

Is Pavlik recognised as one of the 10 best fighter's in the world regardless of weight class by The Ring? Has he been beating the likes of Winky Wright and Sergio Martinez? I bet if Pavlik moved up to 168 and challenged Robert Stieglitz for his WBO belt, you'd be complaining if he was offered 'your typical challenger's cut'.

Williams isn't your typical challenger. This is a super fight, and the purses for both fighter's should reflect as such. That doesn't mean a lop-sided purse for Pavlik and a low-ball offer like $1.2 million for Williams.

That ball is clearly in Paul's court. A career high offer on the table. The lineal championship and two belts + the ring. Why won't he take it?

Only 1.2 million for Williams? That's a joke!

OK. Tell us the money that was available for this fight and if it is a joke why has Williams never made that much before?

It's a super fight. This will sell. There's clearly going to be more money than $2.4 million as a guarentee. And if that's the case, Williams' isn't getting his fair share. We know that Williams doesn't want a majority, he just wants a 50/50 split. We haven't heard what Pavlik's team have offered, funny that.

    1. 2 Million is a joke first off. Second Gosen has aright to be cautious and ask for this split considering Pavlik pulled out TWICE in a 3 month time span.

They will owrk out a deal but there has to be a penalty that avlik has to pay if he pulls out again. His antics almost cost Williams a loss while Pavlik fought some subsitute teacher. Thats why Goosen is doing what hes doing.

A deal will get worked out because Pavlik only other option that should even be acceptable for his fans is Martinez. A fight we all know Pavlik loses. HBO is also NOT interested in anything but Will-Pavlik. The fight will get did.

Remember what HBO offered for the Sturm fight? $2mill. We can debate this and it makes no difference anyhow. Goosen is not getting a 50/50 co promotion while Kelly is champ. Again, Paul is worth more, then fine, let him fight elsewhere for more money. I don't know who that would be though. Again, he has never made this amount for a fight in previous outings. Many feel he actually lost marketability in his last fight. This board was full of "Paul Williams will beat Kelly Pavlik" posters before his last fight. Now the sentiment has reversed. Paul is worth less as an opponent now than before Martinez.

"Paul Williams! You're not the most feared fighter. You got a guy right here in Youngstown, Ohio that wants you." (Kelly Pavlik; 12-19-2009)

"Tell those loud mouth guys with Williams to intial the original contract, and we'll make the fight first thing next year; first available date, or shut their damn mouths" (Bob Arum; 12-19-2009)

"I talked with George Peterson and Paul Williams, and they assured me Paul can still make 147. We're going to try and get Paul a fight at welterweight." (Dan Goosen; 12-21-2009)

Now shut the **** up noob.

Goosen will not drop his 50/50 co promotion from what I've read and Williams is not being considered. Read the opening article. Williams is not enough of a commodity to get this deal. Period.

Sturm-Pavlik is a good fight, not a great fight. Williams v Pavlik is an attraction, I'm pretty sure they'll be more than $2 million in the pot. So Pavlik is clearly getting more than $1.2 million for this, so I'll ask you the question. Who is he getting to get $1.2 million+ against elsewhere? Brian Rose?

No you shut the fuk up homie.

Do you notice the pattern for your quote.....ALL AFTER he seen the Martinez fight...They think Will looks vunerable NOW he wants to talk. Pavliks a ***** dude. Now he wants to fight a a prospect with 14 fights???

If Williams can make 147 and get Floyd or Mosley then why not. Hes make more cash anyway and those are better fighters then Pavlik. They also wont have to worry about a guy pulling out.

I read it. Pavlik wont fight Martinez. He gets outboxed with ease. Hes going to fight a 154 Pounder with 14 or so fights.
