    And there lies the problem...

Warren, for too many years, has given the fans poor value PPVs which, although we are not obliged to buy, leave a sour taste in the mouth.

I do feel sorry for Warren. He has, as others have said, made Khan's name for him but something inside me is delighted that this happens so often to him. As for Khan this is, in my opinion, a terrible move. Frank Warren is able to navigate a fighter's career to the highest echlons of the sport without facing anything more than a "tricky" fight. GBP will not allow Khan to avoid facing the best. He could be seriously exposed within a year.

I feel you are not in the 'upper echelons' unless you face some 'tricky' fights :good

Say it again brother, my point exactly, I have never known a fighter get starched and ruined in the first round, and then in his comeback fight its ppv. Shocking is the term i'd use when describing FW respect for fans. It is down to him for Khans departure.

    Here is a scenario:
Hatton overcomes Tzuyu and captures the boxing worlds attention, he then leaves and fights a couple of champs and then 2 of this generations best fighters in bouts that will rake him in a absolute fortune. Hatton makes more money fighting for himself and can pick and choose his fights as he pleases.

Khan similarly beats Kotelnik and soemwhat grabs some attention, he leaves hoping he fighst a couple of champs and hopefully makes some big cash and earns some major respect from the boxing world for hopefully fighting somebody that can actually challenge him, no ***an-esque mismatches.
    ___________________________________________

Khan is quite simply copying the blueprint hatton has set, period. And who can fault that, Hatton would not have done aswell financially or fought as many top fighters if he would have stayed with FW...

Decent post Dan, but I have to say that Warren had absolutely no input into the selection of Barrera as an opponent for Khan, that was pure Freddie Roach, Warren was shitting bricks at the thought.

I think that any of Khans fights in the UK will be promoted by Warren, I don't think that it is an absolute split.

They all done better once ...

a: They were nearing the end of their career.
    b: left Frank Warren.

Khan has done the right thing, might be c###s trick but Frank is no stranger to those.

Well you've changed my stance. Well played sir.

Khan may have been a little unloyal (disloyal?) but hes moving for the right reasons, to further his career, he didnt want to end up like Calzaghe so hes made the right move.

Khan owes Warren **** all. **** all. This is a common mistake of Warren's, he seems to think 'loyalty' = a contract. It doesn't. Contract up, Khan gets a better offer, see you later. Simple as taht.

Do you think Warren would be loyal if it didn't make financial sense for him? Would he ****. You look after no.1 in this game.

Exactly, look at the way he treated choi once he nailed derry matthews. I feel for warren on the way that his golden goose has left him, but i cant sympathise for the guy one iota after the way he has treated fans in the past and indeed this forum...
