Yeah he fought him as an amateur, whilst he was on a training break, with about a days notice to save the show I heard, and narrowly lost on points. I dont think for a minute McGuire is scared to fight him

TD, you know I luv ya & all that, but yer friendship with the McGuire posse is clouding yer judgement here, Kenny Anderson is a guy the McGuires should avoid at all costs:deal

Condering it was a fight ordered by the Board and went to purse bids, that is rather poor.

Exactly the board made Anderson the manditory challanger for Mcguires Celtic title, I'm pretty sure they would have let him know about it, Warren won the purse bids and Mcguire signed the contract then pulled out, and as Anderson was manitory he had to vacate as he was not willing to defend his title so he was in training and was fully aware the fight was to take place.

Maguire will not fight Anderson.... I'm pretty certain about that. He barely survived against my pal Big Rich Turba.

I hear what your your saying bud, I'm not saying that McGuire would beat Anderson, just that I dont think he would worry about fighting him, and lets face it, the last time Amderson fought he was lucky with the verdict, I.M.O. at least. Everyone keeps on saying this is the new improved Anderson, and I hope they are right, but only time will tell, the talk of him being a world champ is a bit premature until we find out if he can hang with the likes of Smith. I'm all for the big Kenny, and hope he goes onto great things, but not having anyone slagging off McGuire, he is a good guy, and a pal of mine:good
