Without a doubt Joe Calzaghe makes the hall.

Calzaghe is probably my favourite fighter of all time

saying that his resume isnt great, just wish he challenged himself more in the early parts of his career becaue he had the skill no doubht about it

Which win elevated the 2006 version of Calzaghe to greatness? :think

Going the distance Rick Thornberry, how about his epic encounter with Tocker Pudwill?

IF Calzaghe has ANY claim to "greatness" its comes from the fact that he has a 'w' over Hopkins.

Hes had some good wins alrite but i think he made a mistake in retiring without facing say a dawson, if he had fought and beat him then a lot of the stick he gets would go away. Its not his fault the SMW division was pretty weak overall when he was there, but his win over hopkins was still a good one no doubt, he had hopkins faking low blows

Matter of opinion. Most experts say yes.

Then I would love to hear what those so-called "experts" have to say about Bernard losing 2 decisions to Taylor and their still putting BH in their top 10 p4p list. It's beyond illogical.Unless of course these so-called "experts" place Jermaine at the top of their lists, too.I guess illogic and insanity still rule.

I thought he had dipped out of it around that time myself, and he's back up there now after the Pavlik fight.

He's getting rated highly because his 3 loses (Calzaghe and Taylor x2) were all very close decision loses and he beat Tarver and Pavlik.

3 very close decision losses does not make a top 10 p4p fighter, even though he did beat Tarver. All his victory over Pavlik did was expose Kelly as one-dimentional,especially at 168 or above.

    They might say:
Form is temporary, class is permanent.
    Styles make fights.
Its not all about the "0"
They bear overall accomplishments in mind when deciding on p4p ratings
Jermaine Taylor was very good at the time.
He bounced back after Taylor by beating Tarver & Wright.

No, being the first undisputed Middleweight Champion since Hagler makes you P4P elite. Having 20 succesful defenses of your belt makes you P4P elite. Beating Winky Wright, Glen Johnson, Oscar De La Hoya, Antonio Tarver, Felix Trinidad and Kelly Pavlik makes you P4P elite. Bernard Hopkins is the epitome of P4P elite, and he absolutely deserves his current spot in anyones Top Ten.

If you disagree, please name 10 better fighters than Bernard Hopkins.
