Damn! Now I can understand why Floyd and his dad are not really close. THat's a ****ed up situation and glad Floyd Sr gamble paid off...even though it was at the expense of his own sons life.:-(

You could be right....no one knows how the fight would have played out and Floyd could have beaten Manny had the fight took place.

The problem is that Floyd "saved" Manny from a loss at the hands of his son (if the fight did play out that way) NOT b/c he was looking out for Manny and his well being but b/c of his concern about HIS SON loosing to Manny.

So regardless of why Floyd Sr did what he did, ultimately the fight is off b/c of them...not b/c of team PAC.

You are severly underestimating Cotto son, more so if it turns out that was/is using PEDs.

If that's the case and Cotto got the worse end of a beating from two cheaters, which without a doubt affected and will continue to negatively affect his career then I will also lose respect for Freddie Roach for letting Manny do it. Cotto's an elite fighter who almost took a 'prime' Manny the distance (something which ODLH and Hatton couldn't do) and deserves better.

That statement makes no sense given Mosley's history. I do like Mosley though, great fighter - would love to see him take on either Floyd or Manny. For the record I think Mosley beats manny but gets bamboozled by Floyd.

 

dude im a cotto fan but dont make no excuses, cotto always fights by himself, the whole reason he and his uncle had beef was because he wanted to be his own boss.

That's true too. When Cotto changed tactics and started to move it seemed to confuse Manny which is what makes me think Floyd would take him and make it look easy in doing so.

Cotto's corner was **** poor though, definately.

 

I definately see him KO'ing Manny but he don't have the skills to pay the bills against Floyd.

 

What in my post suggests I'm underestimating Cotto? I'm one of his biggest fans
