Bernard from the past or right now?I know that Bernard was a great fighter and is a Hall of Fame lock.I am not disputing his resume. You don't have to convince me of his past feats.I have been a fan of his for a long time.He is undeniably an ATG and one of the greatest middleweights ever. But he is past it and has not been p4p in a while. How can a p4p great lose twice to Jermaine Taylor if that p4p great is still prime? How do you explain that?I know Taylor was pretty good, but twice? When was any of those opponents that you listed recent? His last fight was against Pavlik and how long ago was that?Over a year ago, that's how long ago.Bernard can fight anyone he wants to as long as people will pay for it.He's earned it over the course of a long, distinguished career. But he hasn't been p4p in a while and a victory over completely shot for a long time Roy Jones is not going to change that.

I forgot about the Enrique Ornelas fight, but again,a victory over Ornelas does not put Bernard in the present p4p list.

look at that clown dinamita aka 'el cepillo and uncle rico' grinding on hopkins again with his easily identifiable 'alt account the page with my bhop hardon' tactics, you're more obvious than a bearded man wearing a backpack smelling of fertiliser!

Yeah right, Hopkins is treated like God on these fkn boards, go watch their fight & then xplain to me why this good but not great fighter was able to compete with & beat the amazing B-Hop.

You guys heads are up your biased asses.

There is no description on earth that could sum up the idiocy of stating that the feather fisted 'Joe Calzaghe beat up Bernard Hopkins'.

What in the blue hell fight were you watching? Joe may have scrapped by on a contentious at best split decision but at no time did his pitter patter slapping trouble Hopkins.

    Re-read the post.

No **** says `beat up`..... I said `beat`..... which he did, you dont have to hurt a fighter to beat him, Calzaghe imposed his style on Hopkins, the great B-Hop couldnt handle the pace & pressure & tried to buy some time by faking a low blow in the 10th, that alone tells me this close fight deserved to go to Calzaghe more.

Ps. Im suprised Hopkins didnt just walk thru those pitty patty slaps, mmmm, weird.

Also... its the double standard you ****s have got.... why was the fight so close between a supreme legend like B-Hop & a merely `good` fighter like Calzaghe ?... mmmm... weird yet again.

    Sort yourselves out, its embarrassing.

In fairness, Hopkins was 42 yrs old. Not prime, not close to prime. Yes he was still an effective fighter, but don't kid yourself about him being at the top of his game. That being said, it is silly for guys to say that JC didn't beat him or other fighters, he merely won more rounds. That is the the way you win, right?
