So Lewis' KO doesn't count because he didn't knock him unconscious, but Vitali still has one of the greatest ever KO ratios despite not knocking anybody down since the Williams fight, right? I think I see how this works now.
I got you... the way you stated it was as if it was a real KO. I agree it was a TKO but by cuts not by vitali doing the chicken dance of knocked down etc... To call it a KO/TKO is correct, but it doesnt tell the whole story. Thats all
Seeing as you seemingly never have anything constructive to say why don't you go hang out with the rest of your mates outside the nearest open convience store or better yet go play with traffic. Chav scum.
No, he won by technical knockout. A win none the less but there's a difference. I remember being frustrated at the time because of the fight being called due to Vitali's face literally hanging off but the damage was caused by punches from Lewis which Vitali didn't avoid so fair play to Lennox, he won but looked bad in doing so and seemingly didn't want any part of a re-match.
So you're saying it was an iffy stoppage? I could agree with that if it was a small cut but if the fight went on much longer and Lewis landed with many more powershots then he may well have blinded Vitali. Oh and as for the avatar, it's not me check the bit under the username. Twat.
Again, I'm not arguing the stoppage, read my earlier post. It's been a while since I've seen this fight but from what I remember, Vitaly was winning the fight, Lewis was starting to look winded and Vitaly wanted to continue fighting.
...I said technical knockout, then you say ''No, he won by technical knockout."...So, let me correct you and say this: No, he won by technical knockout. :nut
It was a clear stoppage from bad luck, as it wasn't your typical cut from a big punch landing flush - it was a ridiculously mean gash from first the thumb sliding over the brow, and then both heads colliding on the clinch right after. Joe Ass slapping his towel down on it like crazy when "taking care of it" during the round break after round 3 didn't help either. Vitali also helped Lennox a bit by inept wrong clinching, looking AT Lennox when clinching instead of AWAY from him. The taller man then always gets rammed into the face, which Vitali somehow didn't realize the whole fight. Still, Lewis kept in the fight to survive until the point of stoppage, and was landing a couple of good shots too. THAT was the most significant of the win, being able to weather the storm until the cut was wide enough to stop the fight, not getting stopped himself. However, the Klitschko haters should pull off their black glasses and look at Vitalis condition going into the fight. Shoulder repaired, spine repaired, knee repaired, with a combined 20 hours of surgery. Hardly "prime Vitali", as of the Hide fight whom he just blew away, unlike everyones sugar darling Ridiculous Riddick Bowe. My conclusion out of this fight is, a prime Lennox beats a prime Vitali, but only after a grueling battle, taking some damage himself, before stopping him on cuts.
Considering that Lewis was old, out of shape, overweight, and preparing to fight the portly pushover, Kirk Johnson, during "training camp" I consider it rather exceptional that he still managed to put the beats on a younger, hungrier, more in shape, fired up VitKlit.
Mentioning an iffy stoppage is arguing the stoppage.Or maybe I misread? Anywya, the fight was pretty even up the official scores were 4-2 for Vitali,I had it the same, some people say 3-3 which is fair. But to say Lewis was winded and Vitali was not I don't agree. They were both huffing and puffing bad after 6. Vitali did indeed want to continue.
Remember.. Vitali was winning on all scorecard when it was called.... so the words I am seeing like "Dominated" or "total beatdown" is a bit of a stretch IMO
