He has a change but it’s a slim one, because champs won’t probably give him a shot

Grandpa James could always surprise you because of the skill and durability that he has. But the likelihood that he'd beat a young Haye with all of Haye's speed and power or either Klitschko with their combination of size and skill makes the odds astronomical against him. If some fluke happens and a very lesser champion picks up a title, you never know. Say Haye gets stopped against Ruiz on a fluke cut, we know Toney can beat Ruiz...Say Vitali injures his knee terribly and immediately retires and the belt is left vacant or say both Klitschkos, Haye, Povetkin, Solis and Chambers all spontaneously combusted at the same time...

But why keep the Tarver, Hopkins and Arreolas ducking him. I just don 't understand. Anybody who has a name does not want to face James Toney, why is that?

Well maybe we could get Toney vs Ruiz II.

A barn burner waiting to happen. For the, Vacant Interm Super WBA Heavyweight Championship. (Which happens to be one of the more legit belts)

Toney SD12 Ruiz. (<--Seriously my thought if it happens btw)

Yea... I love toney but I just dont see him grabbing another major belt.

A focused, 210lbs Toney, who has a couple tune-ups first, would still be a factor in the division imo.

Would he beat the Klits? No, because he's 41 years old and faded no matter how fit he might be. He's not totally shot tho, so I say he might go the distance and show us a respectable performance, something many of the Klitschko challengers don't do.

I could see him beat Haye tho. It's true that Haye is much faster, if Haye chooses to run all night Toney just won't be able to catch him and Haye would win a boring points decision - but if Haye just shows some balls and takes the risk of trying to KO Toney, I think Toney would counter the **** out of him. Hayes power is totally useless against Toney, he's open wide after throwing these 'Hayemakers', and he would have to go a hard 12rds against Toney - and we know Hayes stamina still isn't the best. Styles make fights, I could see a focused Toney beat Haye, even at this point.

But all this is only hypothetical, as it seems that James can't get a meaningful fight now at all, and that he wants to waste the little time that he has left with MMA...

no such thing as a lean mean toney

    aside from that

    no

  10. Toney would beat Haye. I'd bet the house on it but the Klitschko's are too much for anyone that can't land a lucky shot

Funny all this dissin and dismissing going on about JT..and still we think he better than Haye ...or shud i say ..he wud beat Haye ..I dont think Haye is bad ..i just think he unproven in a proper heavyweight clash ...hell i cudda beat Valuev wid dem stik and move tactics ...to hold a belt ..yu gotta be worthy to be there ......Ruiz will lose but will also teach Haye a few home truths about the Heavyweight division...

JT has the skillz to spank Haye ..maybe even stop him...i can almost see it now ..a half twisted Toney ..giving Haye the right shoulder defense unleashes a sneaky counter left uppercut...down goes Haye ...gets up at 6 ...Toney steams in ..pickin shots ..and lands the peach of a straight right ...tHE WINNER AND THE NEW!!!!! HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMP OF DA WORLD !!!! JAMES LIGHTS OUT TONNNNNNNEEEEEEYYYYYY!!!!

    hahhahahaha im Rich Biatcchh!!!!

There is no such thing as a lean mean 210 lb Toney in 2010. I'm a big fan of Toney -but we need to be realistic - Toney can no longer get into fighting shape to compete at the elite level.

A focused Toney will never win the HW title, however,a focused Toney could beat World Champion Kobayashi for the hot dog eating contest held at Coney Island each year.:admin
