Not sure how you can say that. Gamboa is talented and great to watch but he has yet to fight anyone of note. Certainly anyone remotely close to the level of Barrera.

    :huh

From what we've seen so far, Barrera KO. That's not to say that Gamboa COULDN'T go on to be better than Barrera, even if it's highly doubtful.

No offence to Yuriorkis, who is a good fighter, but Marco is an ATG with an ATG resume to match.I just don't see enough in him to beat Marco.

No if you know anything about Boxing its getting up and shaking it off that shows a good chin, recuparative powers has a lot to do with having a good chin,Mckinney also showed this after the Barrera fight when he overcame a shaky moment to knock out Junior Jones. Besides Barrera could punch harder than you give him credit for especially at 122. Even in his prime he liked to slug it out. Are you trying to say that when he fough morales the first time that he wasnt in his prime yet:huh He was in his prime he just chose to switch his style more to boxing. He knew it was best if he wanted to have a long career, he was actually in his prime at 122 and always had those boxing skills, he just chose to use them more after getting caught by Jones (although he duked it out after with Morales) and finally settled into that style permanantly when he fought Naz,but even then Barrera liked a slug fest he just didnt go there as often.

Several boxers out there have an average chin, but they can get up and fight on. Gamboa gets up and fights on, he has an average chin.

I did say that he was in his prime when he fought Morales....

plus, I actually did credit Barrera for having a hard punch on both hands.

My argument was that Mckinney had a "Better than Average Chin" and was only put down from Barrera was cause Barrera could punch. Mckinney was never put down by guys like Gamboa has in fact only by big punchers or world class guys like Ncita. He was past it when big punching Espinosa stopped him

Gamboa has yet to prove his chin against world class guys, although i get the feeling he gets put down cause of his wreckless go for broke style. Only time will tell. I remember when people thought Pryor had a suspect chin early on but later proved to have an Iron chin. It was his reckless style that led to him getting dropped so many times.

But its to early to tell about Gamboas chin but as of right now id say his chin is suspect until he proves otherwise.

I saw Espinosa-Mckinney fight on HBO, the fight was quickly finish in 2 rounds. Espinosa was in his prime while Mckinney was in his tail end of his prime.

Gamboa needs to work on his defense, his chin is easily hit by top rank boxers.
