To me, there are no real competitors for the generations best fighter. I'd go all the way back to Leonard at his best, to find a better all round fighter than Pacman.

I've been a fan of his since I saw him beat Barrera and caught his previous fights after that. I was inspired by his determination and desire he showed in losing to Morales, my favourite fighter of the era, but the way he came back and won the rematch was phenomenal. The improvement he showed technically between the first and second Marquez fight was something I've never seen before and I'd be honoured and suprised if I see it again in the future. His dominance in recent years, especially the Cotto fight, has been breath taking.

I hope the recent negativity doesn't change the brilliance that this man brings to the ring. He is this generations Sugar Ray Leonard, Muhammad Ali, Harry Greb or Sugar Ray Robinson. A truly exceptional fighter.

He is the best of this generation and, personally, I think there's a large gap between his nearest rival.

I think his stock stays the same, even if he loses to Floyd.

If Mayweather beats Mosley, Pacquiao, Williams and the best at 154lbs, I think he and Pacquiao are close.

He is a great fighter but he is clearly not the best of this generation. Pretty Boy aka Money Mayweather is clearly the best fighter of this genaration.

i agree. the size of the gap has yet to be determined. floyd dominating mosely would certainly close that gap.

:rofl Not even. Pacquiao is perhaps the most decorated fighter of the current crop, but best "all around?" You misspoke. Mayweather is the superior ALL AROUND fighter, and likely the superior fighter flat out.

Pacquiao is a much better fighter. Floyd was only great at 130lbs.

I think Floyd deserves it over Manny>..Manny is overrated by far and like it or not, he has a shadow over many of his W's cuz of his probable use of drugs....

how can you not let his recent allegid transgressions cloud your judgement what a fanboy thing to say, prettymuch even if he has cheated the whole way we should still accept him as an atg, i and all sane people think not,and i guess mark mcguire was the greatest homerun hitter of all time, give me a break
