The incident in which he was forced out by a racist mob occured in Liverpool, and was in fact at an amateur bout of Haroon, Amir's younger brother. Haroon had beaten one of the local lads, and the crowd were hurling racist abuse. Him and his fam had to be immediately escorted out of the arena.

As for the reception he recieved against Barrera, I've heard first hand from the experience of one of my friends who attended that fight live. Whilst Barrera recieved a good reception due to his status, Khan he said was heavily booed. Sitting behind him were a large group of fans who were shouting all kinds of racist ****. Same things were occuring in other sections of the crowd too. This incident is widely known, and was even reported in several news articles, including BBC sport who displayed their disgust at the antics.

Now whilst Khan has been the darling of the media, and has recieved endless amount of support from people of all creed and colour, there are still sections of the public that despise him for his race. A case being the ***** who has just made the "Paxi" remark in this very thread. The problem exists, and there's nothing wrong with pointing it out

Before the Barrera fight many thought Barrera would demolish Khan. Barrera had given Manny a good fight not too long before that. Hatton-Mayweather was back in 2007, Khan was still a prospect back then so why vehemently boo a prospect that is your own countryman on a foreign soil and all at a weigh in introduction? Well, much of the hype around him was generated by exceptions in light of his accomplishments at 17 being the only British boxer.

This should be a great fight and because of Maidana's power will be exciting until Round 12. I really like Maidana but I hope Khan takes it.

Everytime theres speculation of Khan fighting maliginaggi instead of Maidana, we got pages and pages of Khan haters typing non-sense. Now he's fighting Maidana, the haters have suddenly become extinct. Atleast manup and say he'l prove you wrong if he wins (bar the odd few REAL boxing fans). The guy who posted 'paxi' is one of many dudes who have similar mentality. Khans statement 'i'd be a superstar if i was white' was out of anger which was motivated from all the racist taunting which he has experienced throughout his short career. I wouldn't blame him of he moved home over to the US where the celebrity lifestyle is something which is almost considered as the norm due to number of celebrities in the US.

In regards to the fight, i think Khan will sit more on his punches and pick his shots rather than 'arm' punching just to score points. I think the accumilation of punches will lead to Maidanas downfall. Aslong as Khan does not get caught flush early (like he did against prescott) i think Khan has way too much heart and pride to get KO'd especially on his US debut. He will be fully focused to impress. I think it will be late TKO or UD for Khan.

Khan is the most protected and coddled fighter in the World today. He is going to get that fragile Glass Mandible shattered all over the place. This will be the end of the Amir Khan farce.

Why the hell is Kahn so depised? Cause his chin is glass? Wow. Or are there other reasons?. He shut a lot of people up taking this fight.

Props for Khan for taking the fight. Maidana is no joke. I still think Maidana stops him while being behind on all the cards.

I predicted he would fight Salita and smash Salita.

Maidana hype will end here. KHAN will be too fast too

Respect for khan for taking the fight, i don't think it is a smart decision though, if he beats maidana it will be awesome however a maidana brutal ko is a option as well, for sure going to watch this.

Major respect for Khan, even if he loses no one can call him a cowered or ducker.
