    If you were Frank Warren.

He needs to have 4 12 rounders at a minimum.

I would follow the exact same route that he took with Clev. Get him in for one of the domestic belts that Cleverly gives up, take on the domestic opposition like Oakey, McEnzie, McIntosh, Fry. All guys that Clev had beat, build up the fight between then by having Bellew trying to better Clev's result.

Then in 2011 try and get Bellew in fro a different world title to Clev, then you have a Unification which in summer of 2011 at the MEN. The winner becomes a star and goes on to fight the big names in the divison.

    Step him up man !!

Give him some proper fights, where YOU THINK he'll get tested ......

And if he KO's them in style it will tell you a lot more about him, then you can start taking risks and stepping him up !!

I agree that they should both go for different world titles. Bellew's fighting for the WBA International Title so that should get him a ranking with them and Clev will probably pick up the WBO.

What Warren should do is have them co-headline two cards, one in Liverpool and one in Wales. So Clev would defend the Euro title (assuming he wins it) and Bellew would be defending his British and/or C'wealth title. That would build up the rivalry and then maybe after they both win world titles (and that might not even happen) they can defend on the same card again which would make the fight massive.

allot of people dont realize this but bellew is very very hard to match.

7 out of the top ten have already declined a fight with bellew, (fact)

i feel the same way as other people on here who want to see bellew in with the likes of fry mclintosh dilks stubbs and others but they have all on record declined the fight.

i would look for foreign opposition because if the top 10 wont fight him then the other l. heavys in the u.k are not going to take him past 2 rounds. and like some1 said before he will need rounds if he is to challenge for belts.

To me this year will be his most important year. He must develop and box against some good guys who will make him work and teach him a lot about himself and take him into deep waters. I like to see him take on Joey Vegas if he's still about or someone of that ilk then fight an Oakey then a U.S opponent who will give him some good exposure and someone who can be hurt but box and stay away from trouble and make Tony think about breaking him down then he can go on to more live opponents of the division. He's good so it's about nurturing him and making sure when he goes onto world level he has had the right development and education.

If the domestic opposition doesn't fancy it, **** the scene off and look elsewhere.

There are plenty of good light heavies and cruisers in Europe, stick Tony in with them.

He's 27 now, time to move. Don't waste time waiting for a British belt holder to take the fight, make your own move.

Does anyone think Campillo at the end of the year would be a step too far too soon?

I think so yes Fry or McIntosh and Oakley first, then see what the euro scene is like

  13. I think he'd beat him now, I really do. So, that'd be a great fight. Where's Bellew in the WBA rankings though? I doubt Campillo will still be champ at the end of the year though....

He's fighting Shumenov again in 9 days, with the title on the line.
