I have plenty of respect for what Floyd has done at the lower weight classes and I know having an 0 on the loss column is good for business but besides that their is no way a fighter can be considered pound for pound when they currently are not in control of any major championships in their own division. If Lil' Floyd were to clean out the entire Welterweight Division and retire for a second time what would be your thoughts about him

but he didnt clear out the welterweight division the first time?

if you want him to go down as one of the pound for pound best of all time then

mosley, williams, pacqauio and a couple of other top top fighters need to be taken out by mayweather

thats unfair as he was retired for two years and has since only had one fight

so to be in contrll of a major title would be difficult having only had a tune-up

If Williams wants to become part of the welterweight conversation he needs to start fighting there

Hilarious --- Mayweather cleans out WW by retiring when the division was at its peak, waiting for the top guys to beat the **** out of each other, and coming back to lay claim after it's in shambles.

Suddenly it's discussed that there might be a fight with 38-year-old--who-looked-like-****-against-Mayorga Shane Mosley, and now the guy is cleaning house? Please.

LOL I laughed at the title.

Seriously, Mayweather already avoided pacquiao who is the #1 p4p fighter also fighting in the same division he is in.

It would be great but he hasn't done it and he never will. All we can hope for is a couple of good opponents before he takes off again.

Well he was about to be on his way fighting Pac, and now with Berto opting out (pray for his family) could be on his way with Shane (and maybe Berto in the future). I just hope with Uncle Roger in his ear we won't be seeing just so called "Money Fights", and Floyd gets back to the Champion mode

So the thread title is like one of those euphemisms like "a snowball's chance in hell" or "when pigs fly?"

So when Person A asks: "Hey you think Limbaugh will ever lay off of Obama?"
Person B can reply: "When Mayweather cleans out the welterweight division."

If he beats Mosley he is on the right track. Then finish off beating the winner of Pacquiao-Clottey you can say he is the king of 147. No matthew hattons or saul alvarezs or malignaggis.
