finally got through it and man that was quality TV. As someone else said I would love to see a barrera/morales version but i can dream. I love seeing the sportsmanship b/w the two after the final contest and after the match itself, especially for two guys who have the history and animosity that these two did. Cheers!
So much more in common than you'd think - from the same generation in Britain, both black, both Londonders, both with African-accented parents, both with working-class backgrounds, both had a number of elder brothers, both started boxing in adolescene to save themselves from a life of crime, both had winning amateur records and tournament wins, both turned pro in the same era and rose to the top with exciting performances in London rings, both were involved in big tragic fights. It's unbelievable when you list it like that, and special.
I recorded this when it was shown on ch 5 a few yrs back, I have both their fights + this on the same tape... its quite good, disappointed they didnt get to wrestle tho but still very good.
Eubank is one of my favourite fighters. I always lked his personality more than Benn, even after reading both biographies. Benn is the typical rough bully attitude sort of guy, Eubank is smart and funny(unintentionally).
Bumping this cos I randomly found it on Youtube today and had no idea it existed, its actually pretty good!
