    From a recent Ring Magazine article;

    When boxer Shane Mosley and his handlers approached him in the summer of 2003, Conte didn’t waste his time.

    They told him Mosley might be tested the day before the September fight in Las Vegas and immediately after it. That’s all Conte needed to know, all he needed to hear. No reason to sift through pages and pages of drug protocols, or sleuth out the calibration levels of a lab’s high resolution mass spectrometer, or calculate clearance times of detectable substances in case of an unannounced test during pre-fight training.

    “That’s announced testing,” the doping guru says. “That’s IQ testing. If that’s all they do, why do I need to find out what’s on the banned list? And I never did bother.

    “Boxing’s testing program is beyond a joke. It’s worthless.”

    Excellent thread. Conte is righht boxing testing is a joke and easy to pass. It needs random blood testing for all title and megafights.

    If anyone would know it would be Conte. The main problem is also boxing fans who are indifferent about the whole steroid issue. People are still creating threads about Holyfield's ATG status which is absolutely shocking to me.

    How much percentage does Conte's steroid detecting agencies get out of all this?

    The testing is way outdated. Water based drugs are out of your system in days.

    Victor Conte is a fool. The guy sits and says Barry Bonds never took steroids, when we all know he did. The guy is a media ***** who craves attention. Who cares what he thinks about Boxing's testing.

    Given these admissions that current boxing drug testing is useless, it is glaringly obvious that something NEEDS to be done. Mayweather vs. Pacquiao could have been the perfect opportunity to raise drug testing awareness and enact change, had Pacquiao gotten on board with it.

    Say what you want about Conte's ethics or what you want about him as a person, but he knows drug testing. Very credible source.

    How is he a fool. He built a multi million dollar empire off of steroids and help create some of the finest athletes in the world with his products. He may be corrupt as **** but he aint a fool. Him saying barry bonds didnt do roids is simply protecting his client. But he is exposing bonds with his book coming out.
