I doubt Floyd fights Mosley

    ok well that is stepping up

    a better idea though would be for both of you find the fifty biggest trollling no nothing non fight watching attention craving diarrea minds on this forum 25 on each side of the coin and have them commit to this bet and that way blow out half of them when we know one way or the other

    that is ok with me but than at the same time they ****n' make topic after topic or just spam everything

    i know it adds traffic and i got an ignore button but it would be cool if we could have threads put on ignore so other stuff rises to the top and have the ability to keep them out of our threads completely because even if you ignore someone they bait good posters and **** melts down fast i have been to blame but i get suckered in, its the assholes that look for it and encourage it (which can be entertaining too at times) that we should have a ****** forum for and let them play in it and we can come visit them when we are in the mood for **** talk

    Recently Golden Boy Promotions honcho Richard Schaefer said that the big fight in boxing is now Shane Mosley vs. Floyd Mayweather? As most know GBP has promotional ties with Shane and has worked with Floyd. Before Mayweather took apart the seemingly diminutive Juan Manuel Marquez last Saturday night, the thought of getting Mosley and Mayweather together was a pipe-dream. It's no secret that Mayweather has been smartly waiting for Shane to age and decline before taking a chance fighting him. And please, anyone who thinks Mosley ducked Mayweather is blinded with bias. Is there any boxing fan/writer out there who really believes Mayweather would've gone through with a fight between them circa 2000-2007? Based on the history of both fighters - Mayweather hasn't earned the benefit of the doubt in this case.

    For those needing a brief history lesson - it was in late June of 2005 and Mayweather had just looked sensational in stopping the late Arturo Gatti. Shortly after fighting Gatti, Mayweather issued a challenge to Winky Wright who defeated Felix Trinidad a month earlier after beating Shane Mosley in their rematch in November of 2004. At that time I wrote for another entity and said Mayweather was just trying to get attention and had no intention of ever fighting Wright. None whatsoever. Stating that Floyd would get out of the fight by making outrageous demands that Wright would never accept. Only Mayweather was wrong and Wright did accept his terms knowing he'd do exactly to Mayweather what Floyd just did to Marquez. Winky knew his size and strength would neutralize Mayweather's speed and skill set. Once Wright agreed to accept the ridiculous deal, surprise, Mayweather turned a deaf ear and went another direction and fought Sharmba Mitchell.

    The chances of Mayweather-Mosley fight happening is very slim.

    I bet he is now hammerring himself and let the Pac fight get away. Now he has no excuse of not facing Shane. HE HAS TO FACE SHANE. :lol: And of course, we'll never get to see the mega fight.

    It might even come down to Shane-Clottey unification, :lol::lol::lol: and the Pac-Floyd, Battle of the Losers...

    I don't know what's so hard to understand. Floyd likes money. He made more money than ALL of those guys fighting DLH, and Hatton, and Marquez, and Gatti, and even Baldomir. Hell, he got as much for fighting Baldomir as he would have for fighting Margarito (and more than he would have for fighting Cotto).

    Those guys fought each other because they had to fight each other. They wanted to build up their names. By they time they wanted him Mayweather already had a name and didn't need them anymore.

    It's not something that endears him to boxing fans, and it shouldn't, but the fact is that Mayweather is bigger than every guy on that list except maybe Pac. If boxing is a business he's doing it pretty well, and with little risk.
