    In my opinion he is suing Mayweather and golden boy to try and get under Floyd's skin. To give him a taste of his own medicine. Rumour has it that he didn't even turn up at the initial hearing... Can anybody shed any light on this at all.

    I'm sure if he was lined up to fight Paulie and the fight fell apart, he would sue him too, or at least threaten to. Plus he is not missing out on an 8 figure sum because of Paulie.

    malignaggi is just trying to get headlines. and the reason pac sued mayweather was another one to duck the fight.

    I know it's been said before, but Malignaggi isn't getting sued because he is a nobody and his so called 'opinion' means nothing. Mayweather was the one lined up to fight Pacquiao, and his allegations of drug use on Pacquiao's part effectively ruined the fight.

    Thing is, Paulie isn't defaming Pac. Just like Pac can't sue the bus driver living in a suburb in New Jersey. You got the point?

    In other words, Paulie isn't as big a personality. Heck, if Pac tell his lawyers to sue Paulie too, his lawers might ask - who the hell is he?

    It has no civil sense to sue him as he doesn't have a high profile public personality - high enough to defame someone.

    Malignaggi may be a twat but he makes a valid point, I don't buy this "Malignaggi is a nobody" opinion as a reason either.

    Why bring a lawsuit against Mayweather Sr to gag him but not Paulie?

    every time i have heard ***llinagi talk about pac doing roids he says "in my opinion" big differance from saying out right that he is doing them :yep

    The thing is, Malignaggi is not connected to GBP or Team Mayweather, so it would be a seperate lawsuit. I doubt that Malignaggi could pay Pacquiao enough in damages, to make it worthwhile. He's not a millionaire and if Pacquiao wins, he will be award millions in damages, something Malignaggi can't afford. So what's the point?

    Malignaggi is just getting his name out there. Ironically, he's using a supposed publicity stunt to garner attention for himself.
