Floyd is incapable of blowing anyone at 147 "out of the water". With that said, he will get an easy UD fighting Mosley. Mosley is a fighter who has lost 5 times and will get his 6th in May of this year.

Mosley has never been an effective aggressor...Floyd will make Sugar Shane look like a 38 year old fighter.

He will receive a lot of credit from those who don't know boxing...which is most people even in sports media.

Y'know i am actually starting to feel for the May fans. I dont like him at all as a man but do admire his skills. I have been saying for a while that Mosley is on the slide ( check my old posts ) but outside of Pac he is unquestionably the best fighter available to Mayweather. Also when in the past I have said Mosley is slipping pretty much no-one agreed , now there are loads of people on side with me. Co-incidence ?

Floyd and Pac are huge favourites against anyone the fight ( thus why their fight was so intriguing ) so how can you complain that they are fighting guys against whom they are the favoutrites ( thats everyone ) Mosley will lose I feel but then Clottey has as little chance of beating my man Pac so I'm not gonna chuck too many stones at a Mosley v May fight , in fact if Im honest Mayweather has the slightly tougher assingment.

    Agreed.

Haters will continue hating even if/when Mayweather beats up Mosley and then Pacquiao in October/November. There will always be excuses. I remember an earlier thread where Pac fans were trying to say (when it looked like the fight bt May/Pac was a go) that no matter the outcome, Pacquiao will go down as the better figher in the history books. The loss excuses came pouring out before the fight was signed :patsch

As a fan, what better fight is out there than Mosley and Mayweather? Who is washed up, who isn't, give me a break. Mosley looked as good in his last fight as he ever has in his career. This is a big fight and I don't know why we can't all just be excited for it. This is better than Paul Williams and Mayweather. This is better than Pacquiao and Clottey by a mile. This is nearly as good as Mayweather and Pacquiao.

I give Pacquiao full credit for destroying Cotto; I thought Cotto was going to win. I don't believe this was the same Cotto that fought Mosley, but that doesn't mean that I completely disregard the victory by Pac.

People need to relax a little bit

Styles make fights, bro...i can think of 25 different matchups that would be more exciting for the fans of the sport.

The only thing exciting about this fight are the names involved. The publicity this match-up will generate will be great and the fight will be another let down...typical of boxing as of late.

The mainstream media will buy into this fight and will be terribly disappointed.

Now -- do you really want the truth.
Mosley is a hell of alot better than anyone that Pac has faced.
He would destroy pac inside of 3.

I dont think Mayweather deserves much credit for beating a 38 year old fighter. I just dont. Alot like Calzaghe over Jones or Hopkins.

I will only give him credit for cleaning out the divsion of its top fighters. NOT top NAMES . The top FIGHTERS.

Are you seriously comparing Mosley now to the washed up Jones Calzaghe fought?!

Who are these other top fighters at welterweight btw?

Styles make fights, bro...the Sugar man who looked completely ineffective against Forrest or the Mosley who looked brilliant against Collazo?

Pac has a very good resume...you could say the same for Floyd...Mosley will be the best fighter on his resume.

There are better matchups as far as entertaining fights go, no question. In terms of hype and overall demand from the public, May/Mosley is the 2nd or maybe 3rd biggest fight out there. Will you not buy it?

Disagree with you about the names as the only thing. Mosley presents a legitimate chance to beat Mayweather which is something that millions of people want to see. A month ago, people were saying that Mosley would kill Mayweather and that is the reason why Mayweather would never take the fight. Now he appears to have taken the fight, people are changing their tune.

Everyone was calling Floyd out for being a ducker and a *****, he tried to make the fight with Pac and Pac bailed and now seems to have made the fight with the next biggest challenge. Isn't it time to lay off the hate for a bit and see how the fight goes?

Thats becasue they are fools who use hyperbole as their default.

May and Pac are big favourites for their respective fights , of course upsets can happen though.

Too many folks listening to the loudest empty vessels going on.

Look at my previous posts...I've always stated that Mosley would be easily outboxed by Mayweather...as long as Pac is his biggest challenge to date, then he still is avoiding his biggest challenge. The fight with Mosley doesn't change that.

And to answer your first question; No, I won't be wasting my hard earned cash on a snooze-fest!! I already know what the outcome will be...unfortunately, so does Mayweather, hence the reason he's taking this fight.
