I disagree I think you cannot say it is definitly the best by far as one I disagree it is the best and all them fights are as good as the other. Arguello is my favrouite fighter and it is his most exciting fight and a very close one IMO
Nah, Arguello vs Pryor I is my second favorite. I am a firm believer in Barrera vs Morales I being the Boxing's 'The Godfather'.
What Im saying is Id consider Barerra-Morales I the Terminator II or Raiders of the lost Ark...because its all action.
Fair point. I liken Barrera vs Morales to the greatest of all films though. Vertigo? The Seven Samurai? The Godfather, it's on that level.
McCallum vs KAlambay 2 is my favourite right now.Been thinking of doing an analysis of the techniques on display but it's kind of overwhelming. I guess in film terms it would be a near impenetrable mix of Fellini and Tarkovsky.
We have had this discussion about the scores I had it to Pryor by 1 round I think going into the 14th. I really do love it but the fact it is a 12 rounder detracts from it IMO 3 less rounds of action Damn you WBA Barrera vs Morales I is the 'Scarface' - All action but lacks that epicness of The Godfather
Barrera vs Morales I lacks epicness? ...You're done, GPater. And we established already that you can't score a fight properly. You claim Nady made no mistake in the Barrera/Marquez fight and you actually think Pryor/Arguello was neck and neck? Your boy was taking a beating.
I meant by the lack of epicness, I meant that is what the 15 rounders bring (well to me anyway, there is somethign magical about a 15 rounder) I wasnt sure on the rules but I thought what he did made sense, although did you get the message I sent you on FB, it was how Ron Lipton (a referee) would have dealt with it, so we was both kinda wrong. But what Barrera did was terrible and disgusting. Pryor vs Arguello I was close you cannot say it was a beating, well it was for both men. Look at the shots Arguello was landing from the 10th round on where he did start to come on. And all the action was close there was not a moment that was completly one sided. Pryor had the workrate Arguello had the better shots.
Whilst Pryor was ahead...the first bout was a friggen war..plenty of punishment going both ways in that one.
