More the case that Leonard legged it for 10 rounds until the whole crown of celebs just started walking out & the crowd all screaming in unison BULL**** BULL**** BULL**** it was only then in the 11th that Leonard stood & engaged an old bloated Duran & ended up with 60+ stiches as a reward as they'd both unloaded right hands & gil clancy said that if Durans had landed 2in lower we'd be looking at a new champ tonight.

Believe me Leonards legs when into high tempo reverse gear after that & they was ****-all wrong with Leonards legs or speed.

Everyone was conned that night as leonard dictated all the catchweight bull**** here & stated that he had unfinished business with Duran & would stand & fight him & go for the KO, yeh like **** he did:bbb He had plenty of speed about him that night but only in reverse gear.

Steve Wynn who owned the Mirage vowed that Leonard would never ever fight in Vegas again after that "thief in the night stunt" hence he had to **** off too MSG for the Terry Norris fight who he arrogantly dismissivly & totally underestimated:deal

What part of PRYOR TURNED THE CHANCE DOWN do you not understand??

Why didn't Norris show what he could do with Vasquez instead of Benny having to tell us? :deal

leonard wasnt serious about the offer to Pryor. Who is he to dictate the amount Pryor can earn for a fight? An obvious attempt to duck the man while saving face.

Only diehard fans like yourself would consider that as a genuine offer

    Yes, he was.

The same as Cervantes was when he dictated far less terms for him.

No, a generous offer about 10 TIMES MORE than anyone else had ever previously offered him.

No, sensible and logical people do as well.

Lionel Rose and John Conteh are overrated on this forum. Ive been following boxing for so many years and know a lot of knowledgeable boxing fans , and i have never heard the praise that many here give them. I know im gonna hear it from their Fan boys.

Id love to hear your reasons amigo.

Lionel is about as underrated as you get...A top fighter in the divisions top era and cant even manage a HOF shout.

Conteh didnt live up to his ability and I think everyone accepts that...but you would have to be half blind not to see that both guys are two of the best looking fighters their respective divisions have ever seen.

Leonard only offered Pryor a $500,000 payday to fight him. Pryor didn't want to fight him because he could make more money fighting someone else. The second Duran fight was for a $8 Million dollar payday. That's a slap in the face to Pryor to not even offer him atleast $2 Million for a fight. That tells me right there that Leonard didn't really want to fight Pryor, so he offered him a mediocre amount of money cause he knew Pryor wouldn't take it.

Why don't you just watch them fight and come to your own conclusions? I've little faith in most boxing historians anyway, as most aren't really historians of the finer points and more obscure fighters at all. They pretty much just live to continue the myths and innaccuracies surrounding the most well known, fan appreciated boxers.

Leonard called him out after the Hearns fight...Pryor turned down half a million after to fight Leonard, after he beat Blackmore I believe.

Ray was essentially retired in 84 anyway, battling that eye injury after his first retirement...thats why the Howard fight was pushed back and thats why he retired again right after it.

I think I might start my own "Pryor ducked Leonard" agenda.
