Pav's most recent fight - in his OWN ****ING HOMETOWN... he drew 3,000... With all the tickets cheap, plus the fight was on PPV...

You are talking about Pav in his "Heyday"... His stock has plummeted. Quickly.

I don't believe tickets were that cheap. Some $50 seats and everything else over $100.
Plus, it was the week before Christmas. In a very recessed area.
HIs fight before against Rubio, also in Ohio, was sold out and drew over 7,000.

And PWill is in his heyday and he still can't draw more than 3,000.

So, to recap, you have PWill-Martinez. Excellent matchup. FOTY candidate.
And you have Pavlik-Espino. A stay busy fight against a crap opponent.

    And Pavlik still outdrew him.

On the thread titled "Let them shut their damn mouths," I posted a video of Pavlik and Arum both calling Team Wiliams out. All they ask is that Williams go forward with terms he already agreed to. Pavlik taunted Williams, and came just short of laughing at him. Where's Paul?

Williams stood face to face with Pavlik at the NY Giants practice facility back in September and Pavlik didn't dare taunt Williams!

He should've try to laugh in Williams face then!:blurp

Pavlik's one of those tough guys from a far!

Kelly has lost momentum, I will concede that, but the last event was a last minute job because the orgs were pissed they weren't getting any revenue from him. Lots of things went wrong, including the university box office turning away people that showed up wanting to pay cash. If he is in a good fight with the proper timing, his numbers should easily go back up.

Paul Williams should stick to 154, Pavlik would be a bad match-up for Williams.

Pavlik had his fight like 2 miles away from his house with cheap tickets, If he doesn't outdraw Williams in that scenario then he shouldn't be a pro fighter.

the only reason it cost Paul so much money is because he was fighting Pavlik. When it changed and he fought Martinez it showed how much of the money is generated by Pavlik. Venue changed, just a fraction of the anticipated gate receipts, and no PPV. Pavlik brings all of that with him for his opponents. If Williams wants his big payday then he will fight Pavlik in A.C.

All this drama over cash from both teams....if cash is so important then why wont Pavlik agree to fight Mundine is Australia....it will be a megga fight over here....they will get 30,000 to 40,000 through the gate and do very well on main event PPV.....the income just in AUST will be $7,000,000

Green v Mundine got 37,000 through the gate :deal

For the record Mundine is happy to fight in the states as well

    Pavlik can't draw flies either.
