You have to wonder what the hold up is on Mayweather-Mosley. First we hear that the Berto fight with Mosley is cancelled. Then we hear May-Mos. is almost a done deal. Then there is no word out of the camps for 72 hours. We have 1 unconfirmed report from 1 boxing writer that the fight is close to done, yet no other reports from any other reputable outlets. My suspicion is this fight is stalled right now. Probably Mayweather wants 80 or 85% of the money. I hope I am wrong, but you figure that this fight would not be that hard to agree upon. I guess with Mayweather nothing is easy. Maybe Mayweather is trying to price himself out. I sure hope not.
Give it time, berto only pulled out a couple of days back, these fights take some time to be put together. I'm pretty hopeful it will happen but i'll wait to the contracts are signed before getting excited
I would give it time. But I believe negotiations for this have been going on for a few days before Berto even pulled out. To me it isn't that hard. Mosley gets 30 or 35%. May gets 65 or 70%. Bloods Tests done. Sign on the dotted line. Maybe they want to have Mosley-Cintron and Mayweather-Malignaggi. I as a fight fan Im fed up. Give us big fights or just retire.

A few things. Even if the contracts are done, it normally takes a day or two for both parties to completely scope through the contracts to make sure there's no funny business. Mosley has been known to be a stickler for contractual stuff and Floyd isn't an easy guy either so chances are both sides are still doing some negotiating. On top of that, Top Rank has the stage right now with Pac and Clottey doing heavy PR and such. It wouldn't get the proper gusto if they just threw it out there during the original hype a thon for Pac and Clottey. Wait until the heat dies down and then go heavy with Floyd vs Mosley stuff.
Where talking about 'I want a big pay day before my career is over' Mosley here, the same Mosley who said he would fight Pacquiao at 140 with a 60-40 purse split favouring Pacquiao. So the chances of him telling Mayweather to **** off after looking like a desperate ***** that wants a big money fight are very slim.
