The reason Floyd is getting praised for this move is because, A, he's taking on a guy many consider to be just as much of a threat as Pacquiao for less money, and because ,B, people set the bar so low for him in some regards with their ridiculous hatred. Look how many people actually believed that he would fight Matthew Hatton and Saul Alvarez.

Floyd hasn't fought someone of that talent level since he was a prospect. Meanwhile, Pacquaio fought some no name, undefeated, untested fighter on PPV just a couple of years ago. Look how many people claim he will torpedo any fight against a leigt opponent by demanding an astronomical purse split. But when has this ever happened? People joke that he will demand 80% against Mosley. Meanwhile, Pac is getting almost 91% of the purse against Clottey, and got almost 70% of the purse against Cotto(while also making him fight at 145 for Cotto's title no less).

People claim that Mayweather will make crazy demands. However, the only unusualy demand he has ever made in his entire career was the blood testing. That really isn't all that crazy considering olympic athletes go through the same testing and considering the rampant PED usage in sports. In those very same negotiations, Pac demanded an unprecedented $10 mill per lb. penalty. If Floyd ever pulled a stunt like that against any fighter, he would be labeled a coward and a *****. However, most defended Pac in this case. This is just mind boggling considering te fight was at 147lbs and considering Floyd weighed in at 146 lbs. in his last fight. Even if Floyd did come in overweight, how would that help him when Roach and Pac claims he would've ran the whole time anyway?

Floyd chased Shane for 7 years, beginning in 1999. Shane finally made an effort to fight him in 2007 and everyone calls Floyd a ***** because he ignores Shane to take on better options just as Shane did to him for years. Imagine if Floyd tried to fight Margo, and Margo told him to get lost because he had better options. Everyone would applaud Margo and claim that Floyd already had his chance(in fact they did this when Margo turned down a rematch with Williams.)

Here's a good hypothetical situation for you. Could a 135lb Floyd have beaten a 135lb Mosley? I think if you have ever seen Mosley at 135 you know the answer. Mosley is almost 40 and past his prime. Truth is the truth.......it should have happened years ago.

Truth is I think so. PBF had just the type of skill sets that would have troubled Shane at any weight or any time in their careers. Not to mention Shane's resume at 135 sucked. PBF was the more proven fighter there.:deal
