Adamek has stated in the article that he is just eating normal when before he was walking away from the table still hungry. Bernard Hopkins did that for years as a middleweight, he was drained. I am hoping Adamek retains his speed and gains in power but he is going to be in with bigger punchers now but skill will make the difference and defence and speed
(((((((((GO ADAMEK)))))))))) He's gonna do just fine against these bigger guys. All they will do is make a bigger crashing sound when they hit the canvas. And to all you ****ing jerks accusing Adamek of taking 'roids, how about S'ingTFU until his tests, which all fighters are required to take, come back positive...OK??? :good
They are in minority. I noticed that most people here have started to perceive Adamek's curiosity. They see the things that I have seen since long time. Its very good :good Finally when you see the Adamek's fight then you want to see more and more of him.
Don't write off the small heavyweights. Remember Marciano and Tyson? Both were small guys. Both delivered vicious beatings to much larger men.
When Tomasz moved up to cruiserweight and came in at 198 only four months or so after the Dawson fight I couldn't figure out how he made 175. He looked solid, albeit not as cut, at 215, but he does look like a true heavy now. He carried 215 well, and he looks to be carrying 222 well. Keep in mind he might still lose some weight and come in at 217 or so. Either way he doesn't actually look bulked up so much as he looks filled out. His muscles aren't as bulbous as Haye's, sure fire sign of weightlifting as opposed to natural maturation, and his shoulders have always been very broad.
What I cannot understand is why Povetkin hasn't tried to take a shot at Arreola. Povetkin is the higher ranked fighter, but this fight would get his name back out there. He is a similar fighter to Adamek, and I would favor him to beat up Arreola pretty badly. It looks like Adamek will get that shot first though.
Povetkin didn't duck him. Povetkin's people wanted to make the fight, it was Dimitrenko's people who pulled out feeling that they could beat Chambers and line Dimitrenko up for a mandatory spot in the WBO. Also you conveniently ignore, as did Compubox, all the punches Povetkin was landing to Eddie's midsection from round one on. There is a reason Eddie's activity level dropped off, it is because a 225+lb man was beating up his body. As for a fight between Povetkin and Dimitrenko, Povetkin would have had Dimitrenko out of there in six. Dimitrenko is timid and wilts under pressure, Povetkin's people knew this, and wanted there man to capture the EBU title and the number one spot in both the IBF and WBO, thus forcing Wlad's hand.
