i miss pride days

So do I man. So do I.

 

Haven't bothered with MMA since. Pride was an addiction for me.

Great great shows and entertainment, not like this new age rocker crap the ufc pulls.

 

Pride was an epic production. The OWGPs were the most insanely amazing fighting experience ever, and I am someone who prefers boxing to MMA. You felt like they were fighting for the viewers, not for money, not for self indulgence, but for us.

 

there is a mystique about pride growing now! if u were'nt there u were'nt anywere! it went out on top,left us wanting more,good way to go. it is a massive part of mma's history and i for one am thankful i was around to witness it in full swing.

 

Thanks for the vid man. It's been a while since I've seen that fight. That **** was crazy.

So you wanna see another guy on roid rage break an arm and toss a ref around like a rag doll ? I miss Pride to but that wasnt exactly a great day for Pride.

 

Oh I agree it was hilarious Atleast Spike is doing these Pride specials now tonight there is some fights although they arent exactly clear on which ones are being shown.

I know Hammerhouse had beef with ChuteBox. But then again ChuteBox had beef with everyone. Shogun is quite a passive dude and i could never understand why Coleman just went nuts. Wasnt like the victory was up to much as Shogun fell awkwardly and broke his arm. He would have been on his way to a submmision anyway. Hammerhouse without "gear" were useless.

 

I miss the Pride days as well - but what can ya do? No point in pining over the past when we have so many great match ups today that we never had then.

DREAM is definitely picking up the slack at the lower weights.

 

When the hell is the next event though ? Strikeforce keeps taking all their fighters to. I say just send Strikefoce over to Japan for now on not in a cage though.
