Shane throws wild shots 4 or 5 yeah but what happens to him when he miss 2 and 3 he gets hit with 2 he didn't see and 2 more after that Floyd will not let Shane outwork him I'm willing to bet the house on it.

And your right Floyd has never fought a Shane but Shane has never fought a Floyd...it'll be most interesting.

Knocking Mayweather out is next to impossible! He rarely gets caught with a clean shot, never mind being rocked. I agree that aggression alone is not the solution (eg Hatton), because like you said, reckless aggression will leave more windows open for Floyd to raid you. However I do believe controlled aggression is the key, along with intelligent ways of cutting the ring, and hurtful compinations to body, arms, shoulder, and face is obviously a bonus.

Yes you'll eat a fair few punches on the way in (less so if you hunt him with unpredictability), but as long as you're not deterred by them (since Floyd doesn't hit too hard), you will make things difficult for him.

 

A lot of pressure and some boxing. Mosley should NOT wait in there, if he waits then it's Cotto all over again but in more devastating fashion in Mayweather's style of fighting. If he waits then he allows Mayweather to relax, throw at all, move at will and engage whenever he wants to. Mosley should keep the pressure, try his best to keep it close and focus A LOT on the body. Mosley did an amazing job against Margarito making his mark from the very first round that he plans to work the body and consistently, he should NOT drop the body for the head even if he gets intentional "bait" type of openings which Mayweather masters.

Mosley is an A class ATG fighter, the tools are there and this fight is VERY winnable. I just hope he can keep it up the full 12 without getting tired, that will be hard to wish before because he's 39 years old after all but the power and skills are there. His speed might not be as it used to be but it should be good enough to give him serious moments in this fight.

From the opening bell he should make his mark that he plans to be aggressive and overpower Mayweather right there. This will be an amazing exciting fight depending how Mosley approaches in the ring.

Mosley sure as hell has a chance and a great one, whoever counts him out completely is foolish. This is Mosley, not Margarito or some tomato can.

Wouldn't it be funny if Floyd got caught and KO'd early? It's pretty funny being an unbiased voice on this forum. The Floyd fans accuse the Pac fans of acting the exact same way they do, and vice versa.

Both accuse each other of biased nuthugging...sounds like an old married couple on the verge of divorce.

People talk about the shoulder roll...have you seen the fights he's won without even really using it?? He has more than one way to fight its like he controls you into fighting his fight its unexplainable...

 

True. People don't seem to acknowledge the fact that Pac's destruction of recent opponents, is largely due to his improved boxing ability and intelligence. This along with his natural athleticism, has proven to be a deadly combination. He now is less predictable, and more spontaneous when launching his attacks.

But the question is....whilst his skill has improved, is there still traces of his bad habits? I personally think there are little remains of the things he did wrong, and they will be enough for Floyd to exploit.

If this were Mosley ten years ago I would strongly agree with you.

you're right when you say mosley is no tomato can, but it is the same fighter who got outboxed by Cotto in the Championship rounds of their fight. Floyd will be able to see his chopping right hands from the very outset of the fight and Mosley has never been an effective aggressor.

This is boxing, so Mosley does have a chance...just not a good one.

And before you state that my posts are rubbish, my predictions are usually right on the money, Scar. I was right about your boy not making the Pacquiao fight and was right about his next opponent being Mosley.

Yea but he still drops his hands alot!!! I rewatched that Mosley/Fraudocheato fight last night and Mosley loads up and drops his hands too much for his own good. He is a great fighter and hope it is a good fight but he needs to tighten a few things up.

 

But, the question i posed before was, "does Floyd have the luxury of a few rounds to time and figure out Pac's speed and boxing ability?" A few rounds might be all Pac needs against any fighter.

Anyway, pointless to discuss at this time I guess.
