I believe the Cuban fighters will fight up (or down) to their opponents. For every time Casa had a stinker, There are great fights against Chico Corrales, Michael Katsidis, Pop Freitas and Kid Diamond to name a few.

I really think put forth against the best in the world, they'll adapt to the opponents. Should be interesting to see at least.

 

BTW I didn't mean to imply a Cuba vs Mexico or Cuba vs P.R. rivalry would top the Mexico-P.R. stuff. I'm just asking if it's reasonable to believe the Cubans are on their way into a rivalry of that type. Ya know one that lasts 20+ years founded out of mutual respect and potential dislike.

 

I don't think the weights match up for Cuba vs Europe. The majority of the great Euro fighters are 160+.

Cuba vs Pacquaio and friends would be better but the weight classes are probably too low at that point. What Pinoy would fight Lara? Or Solis?

Mexico and PR span from 126 to about 168-ish. That to me is a broader scope.

I know exactly where that's at. No, I lived way closer to Los Altos. But I actually went to Sonora High.

I lived with my frineds family, and my friend was expelled from Los Altos, and we had problems with happy Homes and Happy Homes went to Wilson, so we had to drive all the way to La Habra to go to Sonora.

At this point I would say its even...but historically Puerto Rico is in third place among real champions (WBC, IBF, WBA).
