Not sure if this has been posted before, but stumbled upon an interview with The Rock. He talked about WWE, UFC and Boxing (well May-Pac fight).

    Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson

On Mayweather-Pacquiao: Man, did boxing screw boxing when the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight fell through, for now, or what? What big pro fights are out there that the public is clamoring to see? There are none. Boxing is close to becoming non-relevant and if they don't start making hot, young stars ASAP then boxing as many of us know it will be dead. When was the last time that boxing created a new, major star specifically in the heavyweight division which carried the sport on its shoulders for generations? The stupidest people in sports may well be boxing promoters if one bases their intellect on the future of their business.

He definately has a point, but is abit too critical saying Boxing is close to becoming non-relevant

He's wealthy.. let him do what Dana suggests, pour a bunch of money into it and fix it if he's concerned.

well boxing is real....you can't "create" a star, especially in the heavyweight division if the skill isnt there. Not like wrestling where you can "create" whatever character you want.

Money? Money isn't what is wrong with boxing. It is the system.

I've got the answer to the Pac vs May fiasco! Do a tag team match with Pac and Bautista vs May and Triple H! Both these wrestler has accompanied these boxers to the ring in the past.

Talent alone doesn't get you the stardom in boxing. Unless your an Olympic medalist you better have every star and moon line up for you to make it. If your any good and not tied to a big promotion your not going to get a crack.
