Always a pleasure to hear Floyd - fine champion and a truly great guy - telling it how he see's it - one fighter I would've loved to have met and had a beer with - always comes across as a great guy and and very honest with his thoughts.

Really enjoyed that interview. He's clearly a very intelligent man.

Great interview, this highlights what a P4P great Patterson was, starting out as a WW and force feeding himself from MW up to 180lbs to become HW champ, ' ha difficulty holding the weight, and ate steak and all kinds of hard foods it gain and hold weight, especially in the summer months, because I believe when you do something go for the top, and the HW is the top'. 2 points

    1. Patterson was stuffing himself to maintain a heavier weight, he was always a LHW and could have made LHW through the 50s, this shows his greatness as a LHW, that he could beat HWs despite being much naturally smaller
    2. Patterson is underrated P4P for taking on bigger men and not being dominant in the hardest division.
    3. Maybe Patterson has a case for being ranked over Sam Langford (awaits bitching)

Around 1986. His adopted son Tracey is who he is talking about. His son was a pretty good fighter. If I recall correctly his fights with Gatti were televised on ABC and were both great fights.
