Fantasy fights that you would make to prove that you were right

Yeah, if I had to choice I would pick him. He tears them up. But so do many other legends in my mind. Tyson would brutalize Wlad so bad it would be funny to watch.

You mentioned the Marciano thing. I don't pick Marciano over Ali, but I do believe a prime Marciano beats a FOTC Ali. For whatever it's worth. Way too much idling on the ropes. His stamina/punch-output, and legs wouldn't be enough from what we see on film in my view.

 

Yeah that's possible, the only major difference in the two is the favoured punching hand. I always thought that Marciano brings a bit of Frazier and Norton to the table, the relentlessness plus an awkward approach, respectively. Of course there's plenty of differences in Marciano and Norton both in dimensions and stylistically, but i just mean that unpredictability.

 

Yeah i find it ridiculously hard to pick someone over the most prime version of Ali, just so good.

By the way everyone, i've heard from my mate that people think Wlad beats Louis, that's insanity to me sorry. Fast hands, so powerful with either one, and a composite monster hitter, he'd ko Wlad.

I don't see how Wlad can anyone the mid-inside range against Louis. He would get brutalized once he sees Louis firing.

Vitali losses too, but I think he has the attributes to do a little better.

Marciano had more one shot power imo ,and better two fisted power also.
I see Frazier as a quicker puncher ,but more of a volume hitter.
Marciano fought in a crouch leaning over to his right.
Frazier bobbed and weaved up and down.
Rocky caught quite a few jabs in his open right glove as did Norton.
Frazier caught more of them with his forehead.Hence the lumps and bumps.
Norton and Frazier had only one thing in common imo, neither could fight backing up.
Norton beat Ali by taking away the effectiveness of his jab,and going to Ali's body immediately after Ali had thrown the jab.

 

He countered big time with that uppercut and jab. He looked at Ali's chest and every time he would jab it would flex. And that's how he would always beat him to the punch first.

 

Norton owes Eddie Futch big time for that strategy ,and coincidentally, so do you ,because hand on heart,did you ever notice Ali's chest muscles twitch when he threw the jab?

I wouldn't have been able to notice as we as viewers don't have the necessary angle or quality to even notice.

I learned from testimony/text/documentaries, etc. Norton said it on the Facing Ali documentary again too.
