be the same... Anytime Money fights its a work of art. A masterpiece! Enjoy it while he's still boxing and gracing us with his presence. Once he's gone, I guarantee the sport of boxing will never be the same nor will it have the same swagger that Money and his personable charisma brings!

Whitaker was better in every way. Leonard was. Tyson was....

    Pacquiao is.

dude, how long you been a boxing fan...Ali quit boxing, Sugar Ray (both of them) retired, countless other retired, died, etc. and yet the game goes on; Floyd ain't bigger than boxing. O and one more thing: his "personable charisma" come on you're joking right, please tell me you're joking or you don't exactly know what that phrase means.

Funny you say this. When he retired from the sport I didn't feel his absense at all. He doesn't give much back. Masterpiece? He wins boring decisions against guys he handpicks. He has the skills. but he never put his all into boxing. Guys like Hagler and Hearns were guys we missed more because they came to fight each time out and took chances.

Whoa, calm down, buddy. Floyd will be missed by many, sure. He's also going to remembered as a great. But boxing will do just fine. There are A LOT of little guys training right now to be just like Floyd. Even Roger's son...

But I'm hoping the next generation of exciting fighters are more old school, personally. : D

Nobody except his hard core fans will really miss him. The casual fans who tuned in to see his fights with Oscar and Marquez won't really wonder to themselves what happened to the guy who struggled to a close split decision win over a past-prime Golden Boy and put on an exhibition against a career featherweight.

I only got into boxing semi-recently... after watching the PBF DLH fight I always wondered why it came out as a split decision. I thought Floyd won it clearly!

I agree it is a work out art BUT with that said I and I bet most others would agree give me a corrales vs castillo style of fight any day over a art style of fight.

yup, he won it 7-5 pretty clearly in my opinion but it was hardly a masterpiece. it was a half assed fight by a half assed fighter
