I saw Ricky Hatton at a small boxing event in Wythenshawe prior to the Lazcarno fight and whilst he was big he was mainly stocky like a little fridge. About 168lbs imo, but as you say this time he looks dreadful.

Ice, his mate told me that he will be fighting on or before the 29th May :good If I had things my own way i'd like to see him arrange a fight for the Summer and for it to fall through, for him to look at himself and think "Right I don't wanna go on to being a fat get again" so now I'm just gonna keep a basic level of fitness and try and keep this weight off. Once the weight is off it's a lot easier to keep it off. If he gets back to that size again when he retires he will be ****ed :-(
This^^^I'm really torn on wanting hatton to retire or not...I think he has been a great ambassador for british boxing around the world, more so, then his counter-part calzaghe, even if Joe was the better fighter.... I think hatton should go out in either a competitive decision loss or late KO to marquez, which is what I think would happen if he faced marquez....I think Katsidis is a very tough fight for hatton, katsidis has gotten a second-wind, so to speak, in his carear....and is a much hungrier pressure fighter then hatton at this point....and more competitive against hatton then juan diaz, ironically... The only fight I think hatton is ok to fight at 140 and would win is against Juan Diaz, a light puncher...... You always have a now rejuvenated, now fighting with both hands, malignaggi....but Hatton is going to take that TKO 11 over paulie and run for the hills with it, fair play to ricky though....
You take anyone who has ever achieved anything in life, especially in the sporting field, and you will find a supersized ego...its what drives men like him on. Hatton has always been the same no doubt, its just now that the veil has dropped we are seeing the real Ricky, nothing wrong with that, and nothing wrong with the bloke TBH. I would love to see this fight, even at this stage of their careers, and I wouldn't count it out at 147. The pressers would be quite interesting :deal. Junior is older but doesn't have the miles on the clock that Ricky does ...Witter TKO 8 :thumbsup

Hardly inspires confidence when Hatton states Vyacheslav Senchenko is from Russia, and is rightly corrected by the author to be fighting out of Ukraine.
Yeah Jordan i'd be much more confident of Hatton's chances if he could remember the old republics of the Soviet Union :-(
What does that have to do with anything mate? Hatton lost to Collazo. Calzaghe is arguably the best middleweights fighter the world has seen, Hatton was a very good champion. The two don't compare.
