That's kind of silly, Scar. Any good welterweight out there, including the other title holder would be better than a light welterweight that hasn't done anything to earn the shot-including not even being a top light welterweight. Give me a break, man. Collazo just for starters. Whom he should've rematched already. Jan Zaveck, the IBF title holder. Rafal Jackiewicz, the only guy to beat Zaveck. Isaac Hlatshwayo who recently held the IBF title...Even Matthew Hatton would be far more credible than Paulie Malignaggi, Scar. These are actual welterweights who are at the top of the welterweight division just under the big name guys who are taken. I can go on if you want me to...

Williams vs Cintron is good (considering Cintron is coming of a good win over Angulo) but not as good as Martinez/Pavlik. Berto, as a world champ, needs to fight someone his own weight. Big stepdown from Mosley but could be a entertaining doubleheader.

Paulie is a former champion himself with losses only to people of high noteriety and a suspect lsos to diaz which he vindicated... Diaz was on the road to this same fight - i think and it is only fitting that malignaggi get a shot at the title!

It's been a year and a half since he had a world title and it was at light welterweight and since then has been in highly competitive fights with a pudgy lightweight, been knocked out by a faded Ricky Hatton (who beat Urango, Berto's last opponent) and fought at welterweight by coming in at 141 to fight a 142-pound 16-6-1 fighter in an 8-rounder. So, please explain to me why that warrants a shot at the WBC welterweight title or why it's acceptable that Berto after fighting Steve Forbes and Juan Urango during his title 'reign' and letting the much more deserving rematch with Collazo by the wayside be fighting Paulie Malignaggi. This is not a slam on Malignaggi. He's clearly overachieved for a very light hitter with bad hands. But I'm sorry, it's just not a credible match for Berto and Malignaggi has not earned it.

And I do agree that Paulie should've gotten the nod against Diaz the first time, but that doesn't change the competitive nature of the fight.

Williams-Cintron is a good fight but Williams will end up beating Cintron down and stopping him. Berto-Mailignaggi is a big letdown and would be a bad move for Berto. He's made three defenses of his title and two have been against guys from lower divisions and this would be 3 out of 4. Rematch Collazo or face Quintana, I'd almost rather see Judah get a shot then Malignaggi. And if Berto has his heart set on facing another jr welterweight atleast try to make it with Bradley.

    If true, it's typical Berto.

Williams-Cintron is passable but am I the only one not excited with this fight? I'm expecting better things for Paul at this stage of his career. Thought Paul-Pav was on the bag already. Think he's ready. And to that loudmouth who has no business in 147. Can somebody drag his overrated ass in a fight with someone like bradley.
