It was a good night. I went along with ultimate buzz, and it was nice rubbing shoulders with some of the stars we talk about all year long on this thread. Congratulations to Cormac and co for organizing an excellent event, and long may it continue. DUDDY STOPS ASTORGA http://www.boxingnews24.com/2010/01/duddy-stops-astorga/ BELSHAW BEATEN IN BRENTWOOD http://www.irish-boxing.com/stories/january10/jan10_belshaw_beaten.html ROONEY SHOWS PROMISE http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/m.../2010-01-23_milanos_gloves_secret_is_out.html
Juan Astorga looked very overmatched in there... best video available at the moment: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E513vN4yAdA[/ame] be interesting to see who Duddy gets next. I'd like to see him shut up that Barker kid
I would love to see him take out barker but it will never happen. Duddy aint world class but hes good enough to take out that barker without a doubt. Do you think hennesy would make that match up? not a chance.
They wanted a fight with Duddy about year ago, if i remember correctly. Barker was "calling him out".
Barker only calls out british bums and has beens Que wayne elcock next in line for the dazzler. i wonder does he still fancy the job?
that's march 13th right?, would like to see him fight Pavlik but i think it will be Andy Lee.... current rankings on boxRec: 1Kelly Pavlik 2Felix Sturm 3Anthony Mundine 4Daniel Geale 5Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam 6Matthew Macklin 7Sebastian Sylvester 8David Lopez 9Ronald Wright 10Khoren Gevor 11Roman Karmazin 12Gennady Golovkin 13Marco Antonio Rubio 14Giovanni Lorenzo 15Darren Barker (never beaten anyone ffs) 16Daniel Jacobs 17Lukas Konecny 18Andy Lee 19Dmitry Pirog 20Koji Sato 21Sebastian Zbik 22Sam Soliman 23Julio Cesar Chavez Jr 24John Duddy 25Billy Lyell
barkers a decent fighter...and hes not avoiding anyone...he was prepared to fight macklin until matt went the euro route...and i would say he would fight duddy as well given the opportunity...wether he beats duddy or macklin is another thing
I watched the fight just now lads have to say I'm going to go with an a) on this one He looked like the same relentless Duddy from over a year ago Duddy was using his left hook alot more than he had been under burns which was great to see he also used his jab a bit too! I was happy with the fight :yep ps i didnt watch that your tube clip i had the polsat download :deal
To be honest mate I dont know who he will be fighting. All I can say is that I was asked to analyse three fighters by a member of Duddy's team and one would be available and fit in perfectly for an undercard in Dallas - and he isnt Irish.
