Does Mayweather surplant Pacquiao in the P4P rankings if he beats Mosley?

Let's say Floyd is fighting Mosley and Pac is fighting Cotto. Since Cotto beat Mosley, Pac still has the lead. Don't include Margocheato.

Now that Pac beats Cotto, it is easy for everyone to say Floyd will be #1 because he always looked good fighting though inferior or disadvantaged opponents. It is easy to overlook Pac's accomplishment against Cotto now that he already beat him.

 

Lol what better guys you idiot. PBF last 3 fights Marquez, Hoya , and Hatton. Pac last three Hoya, Hatton and Cotto lol what a dumb ass comment. Oh by the way Marquez was pound for pound top 2 in the world at the time PBF faught him. But yeah Pac has been fighting the better guys there twin brothers lol

 

What about Marquez beating Pac ass twice? We just forget about those fights. I mean they just don't count. Or Morales boxing his ears off. LOL I forgot he faught David Diaz and is a much more improved fighter after the Marquez ass whoopings

 

i really dont understand how pac gets all these props of "fighting better guys so her is ahead of mosley. currently pbf fought oscar, then hatton. pac then turns around and fight these two. so that is the same...moreso favored to mayweather cause he fought them first. PAc then fought cotto which is cool...(although i have never liked cotto cause i have always felt like he was a cur...)but whatever, we wont take anything from Pacs win. But thats it. I think PAc is a great athlete but IMO I dont see any just GREAT opp on his resume that makes him the **** vs mayweather..

Didnt bring up EM or MAB because they were headed out the door but its gotta be moresi just the fans liking him because really his resume isnt all that. Im sure every big fight in his past you can compare to a big fight of mayweathers past...MO

 

No he does not. Pac beat a solid WW in Cotto, a WW who beat Mosley. For any Floyd to be P4P #1 Pac either has to lose to Clottey or Floyd has to beat him himself

Pac is on another level with his recent demolition jobs against bigger guys, no-one could have imagined him being competitive with only a couple years ago (let alone beating them).

He has earned his P4P #1 ranking in the ring, more than anyone in recent history. You can't take that away from him just because Mayweather finally beats a decent opponent, and a 40 year old at that.

Pac is the only prime elite fighter available to Mayweather. If Mayweather wants his P4P #1 back he's gonna have to man up and go through the man..

I believe that he will, and I think deep down all the *******s and Floyd haters know he will and that is the reason that they are tring to run Mosley down before the fight ever takes place. Once the fight is signed the anti Mosley thread will be out of control.

*******s and Haters would love nothing more then to see Floyd GONE. They dont want to see him fight anybody, just want him AWAY. If not gone then they would love to see him fight guys that they can bash him for fighting. Keep in mind that they bash every fighter that Floyd fights. Oscar was shot for Floyd, but a great fighter for Pac AFTER floyd beat him, Judah was done, but a great fight for Cotto after Floyd beat him. Hatton was the past his best, but a great win for Pac AFTER Floyd beat him. Shane was the man that Floyd ducked for years, but now that the fight is going to happen he too will become a shot shell of a fighter that he was last month even though he hasnt fought. All it takes for a fighter to became a shot joke is signing to fight Floyd:good

IMO it's fair to say yes, or they are at least tied. Note that Pac's biggest wins at 147...two of those were against guys Floyd beat first. The third big win was against Cotto who IMO drew with Mosley. So it puts Floyd right there at the top IMO.

 

since when did cotto become floyd's leftover? ah yes, in most of your dreams and fantasy fights. pac was still #1 even before he beats cotto. after not just stopping him but taking 10 out of 12 rounds against an elite welter in cotto, pac is now miles ahead of any p4p competitor. yes even floyd who's only feather at his cap for the last 2 years is a win over a bloated jmm at welterweight. now go think about it.

Pac wins and he keeps the title...floyd beats shane and pac loses than floyd gets the 1 spot

 

It's not like Floyd is just one big win away from catching up to Pac's resume. So no, Floyd needs to do a lot more in order to catch up to Pac.
